Did you know? In the UK, landlords are required by law to give their tenants at least 24 hours’ written notice before entering a rented property. This notice must specify a reasonable time for the visit, such as during the day, and tenants have the right to refuse if the time doesn’t work for them. The only exception? Emergencies, like a gas leak, fire, or water flooding from the property. This law protects tenants’ right to “quiet enjoyment,” ensuring their home truly feels like their own. 🏡 Tag someone who needs to know this! #UKRenting #LandlordTips #TenantRights

At a sparsely attended town hall, Pooler residents discussed a proposed short-term rental (STR) ordinance. Four months earlier, the city council introduced a draft ordinance and a six-month moratorium on STR business licenses. Most residents favored strict regulations. Updates to the draft include business license fees, fines, neighbor notifications, proof of insurance, and a "good neighbor" policy. Pooler lacks an STR ordinance and a database, making regulation difficult. Mayor Pro Tem Aaron Higgins acknowledged imperfections in the ordinance but expressed a commitment to improvement. The city postponed the ordinance's consideration. The first commenter noted that previous STR owners who spoke did not live in Pooler. _____ #neillrealtygroup #neillrealtygrouprealestate #annmarieneilldeals #realtyonegroupinclusion #realestate #realtor #savannah #pooler #townhall #strregulations #shorttermrentals #citycouncil #communityfeedback #localgovernment #realestate #publicmeeting #ordinanceupdate

How to Handle “Partial Payments” to Void Eviction Notices Accepting any rent payment during the pendency or expiration of a notice is a frequent matter of concern. The fundamental principle dictates that the act of accepting rent, even if it’s less than the total amount owed, leads to the withdrawal or waiver of any outstanding notice.
