Weekly Summary: Breaking the Stigma This week, we focused on breaking the #stigma faced by formerly #incarcerated #women and how #rehabilitation and #employment opportunities help them rebuild their lives. Day 1: We explored how stigma creates barriers for #women reentering #society, #preventing them from accessing #jobs and #opportunities. Day 2: We highlighted stories of #resilience, showing how women have overcome stigma and found dignity through #training and #employment. Day 3: Employers play a key role in creating #inclusive #workplaces, offering second chances to those who need it most. Day 4: Our programs equip women with the #skills and #confidence needed to succeed in the #workforce, from training to employment. Day 5: We concluded by celebrating the reduction in recidivism rates, showcasing the power of #rehabilitation and urging more people to join us in supporting second chances. Today is World Inclusion Day. Did you know that 627 million people are excluded from essential digital services for absolutely insane reasons - such as being stereotyped because of rates of fraud in their country, or because of their appearance? This means many can’t access education, healthcare, employment or financial services leaving them in a right old pickle. Obviously this is all driven by discrimination, and it disproportionately impacts marginalised groups. Inclusive data is the cornerstone of equitable progress in family planning. At FP2030, we recognize the critical need to address data gaps on underrepresented populations, including LGBTI communities.
