Today, the #ScandriaAlliance visited #Bolzano to discuss with northern Italian stakeholders how to jointly foster climate-smart transport connectivity along the #ScanMed #TEN_T corridor. Common priorities and strategic interests identified during the meeting include: ✅ Strengthening #crossborderrail connections across Europe by removing infrastructural, operational and regulatory burdens 🛤️🚆🛂🇪🇺 ✅ Enhancing #combinedtransport by creating the necessary preconditions and incentives for a stronger #modalshift from road to rail and other sustainable modes of transport 🚛➡️🛤️⚓️ ✅ Accelerating and harmonising #decarbonisation approaches and #cleanfuel deployment 💧🔌🌱🌎 The workshop was part of a strategy process that Scandria Alliance members are currently carrying out. As ESTECO, the company behind Cardanit, we're starting a 3-year regionally funded project. This is going to develop a digital twin of the port system in the North East of the Mediterranean Sea, featuring simulated BPMN models. Watch this space!

ESTECO is proud to announce its participation in the PORTRAIT (Port to Rail Digital Twin in the Adriatic Region) project, funded by Regione Autonoma Friuli Venezia Giulia under the PR FESR 2021-2027 program. Together with Adriafer, IKON, LIFT, and the University of Trieste, we are developing a highly interactive #digitaltwin of the port system, including the Ports of Trieste, Monfalcone, and inland terminals. This innovative tool will enhance decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and optimize the integration between rail and port activities, driving smarter, more sustainable mobility in the region.
