Today's Tip - Research your next college carefully. For-profit colleges (as opposed to NON-profit 501c3 colleges) sometimes prey on transfer students, promising a quick graduation for a low price. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Generally speaking, a degree from an accredited non-profit university will hold the most value, whether you are applying to grad school or looking to level up in your career. Plus, students who transfer to for-profit colleges are HALF as likely to complete their degrees within 4 years of transferring.

The end of ESSER funding may have shifted the landscape of education nonprofits, but my commitment to making a positive impact hasn't wavered. Leveraging my experience in the non-profit sector, I'm now manifesting a new and exciting role in public education. This could be as an Instructional Coach, a School Leader, or a PD facilitator – a position where I can directly empower educators and cultivate student success. While this transition is unexpected, I'm energized by the prospect of new challenges and the chance to make a tangible difference within our school systems. #NewBeginnings #EducationJobs #Manifesting

During this session, I will discuss how our organization is empowering students from under-resourced backgrounds in Immokalee through education and career development initiatives. The Transformative Conversations series was established to address the challenges that Higher Education faces as a result of the global COVID-19 pandemic. This series aims to examine the impact of these challenges on Higher Education and how the sector is responding. I encourage you to engage in this important dialogue and register today! https://lnkd.in/gYSMPegg I would like to express my gratitude to the Gardner Institute for highlighting The Immokalee Foundation and our mission to empower the youth of Immokalee through education. #Nonprofit #highereducation #studentsuccess #careerreadiness

What can you do with $1 a day? A $30 monthly donation (just $1 a day) is enough to help one student at a time learn the job skills they need to work for a brighter future. We’re constantly dreaming of the day when Guinea-Bissau will be completely transformed. Not from outside aid. Not from one-time handouts. But from the inside out! The only way that will happen is by investing in the next generation of the country’s leaders. In fact, our goal is for WAVS vocational schools to eventually train 1% of everyone in their 20s in Guinea-Bissau. Every single year. And along the way, each and every one of these students will hear about God’s love for them and His plan for their lives. Every day we meet young men and women in Guinea-Bissau who want to learn new skills so they can work for a brighter future. We’re betting all-in that they can do it! And today, we're asking you to come alongside them to help them achieve those goals. Would you consider sponsoring a student? As a One Student member, it takes $30 a month to sponsor one student at a time. And if you join by the end of August, a generous donor will sponsor an additional student through a four-month job course! Learn more at wavschools.org/one-student. #sponsorastudent #skillsforsuccess #nonprofit #educationmatters #westafrica
