After our recent experience at SOURCING at MAGIC, I've realised that going to trade shows is a MUST, especially for smaller manufacturers. Here's why: 1) Lead gen - it's the most effective way of generating leads. There is no other platform which gives you so many leads who already have the intent to buy. 2) ROI - a single good converted lead can cover the complete cost. Do the math! 3) Contacts - trade shows aren't just for customers, you can also use them to find better suppliers. 4) Exposure - even if you don't cover the cost through sales, you get to see what the rest of the world is doing, and how you compare to them. This will help you make better business decisions going forward. Consider it an investment in your and your team's professional growth. I know many manufacturers who hesitate because of the cost. My advice would be - go to at least one show and see the difference it makes. Smaller companies lack the exposure and the sales ability that larger companies have, and this is a great way to bridge the gap.
