🌟Just completed the OSH Practitioner Training course and exam, obtaining OSHJ membership through the Sharjah Prevention and Safety Authority.🎓 This initiative by the Sharjah Government, through SPSA, demonstrates a proactive approach to fostering a robust safety culture across the Emirate. The course provides in-depth knowledge about OSH practices and emphasizes the importance of systematic control measures to mitigate risks and prevent workplace incidents. Sharjah's OSH framework (OSHJ) focuses on setting minimum compliance standards for entities while encouraging continuous health and safety management improvement. The training covers everything from leadership commitment to effective performance monitoring, ensuring all stakeholders, employees, and contractors, are aligned towards a safer work environment. The requirement for entities is to register on the OSHJ portals and have qualified HSE professionals with OSHJ membership overseeing their operations in the Emirates of Sharjah. The important of implementing excavation protection system.

Methods to Prevent Excavation Wall Collapse: Sloping the Sides of the Excavation: The sides of the excavation should be sloped outward according to the depth of the excavation and the type of soil. This reduces the risk of soil collapsing into the excavation. Shoring and Bracing the Excavation Walls: Use longitudinal and transverse wooden or metal planks to shore up the sides of the excavation. These planks should be securely fastened with nails or other reinforcement tools to resist the surrounding soil pressure and prevent wall collapse. Using Pre-manufactured Shields: Pre-manufactured shields are one of the safest methods to prevent wall collapse in excavation work. These shields are designed to fit the size of the excavation and are placed inside the excavation to provide the necessary protection. Excavation Wall Shoring System: This system is used when sloping the sides of the excavation is impractical. It involves installing wooden or aluminum planks along the walls of the excavation to prevent collapse. Pre-manufactured Shield System: This is one of the best methods for protecting against excavation wall collapse. Shields that match the size of the excavation are used and placed inside the excavation to provide the necessary protection.
