Wednesday Wisdom: The purpose of goals is to provide an avenue to transcend our constraints.
Most of us are happier when we feel purposeful but I think there's a little too much weight on finding your one singular purpose. What I've seen through over a decade of coaching is that people feel purposeful when they move beyond what their previous limits were dictating for their lives. These limits can be unconscious at first - it just seems like the way things are.
But if you have a goal that's meaningful or interesting enough to motivate you to push past obstacles, then the mental, emotional, and psychological capacities you uncover opens your life up in all kinds of unexpected ways. So one way to go about this is to start with a goal, but you could also start with what you perceive as your constraints. What patterns in your life have just gotten old?
Bringing these 2 worlds together makes goals more meaningful and makes breaking out of old or limiting identity patterns more fun.

Ninja Anger Management Techniques
Water in Mouth: Golden age old technique we grew up listening to, but less implemented. Have some water on the mount for 10-20 seconds and it will help you calm down.
Count Backwards: Start with 100 and count in reverse to 1, you will suddenly find your brain engaged and you will save your Day
Start with Why: As soon as you are angry, ask yourself why? Initially you will only get a surface level answer, but when you will ask Why again, you will start finding deeper answers.
i.e. I am angry with my wife. Why? Because she appears sad.
Why am I angry if she is appearing sad? Because I am depending my happiness on her.
Why? Because I am not happy inside myself
Why am I not happy inside myself?
Most of the time the answer will come down to our own ego and shortcomings.
