The goal isn’t to impress someone with everything you know—it’s to understand their problem better than they do. Start by asking open-ended questions and get them talking. Then go deeper with, 'Tell me more about that.' When they feel understood, they’re ready to hear how you solve their problem. It’s simple: understand first, solve second. “Book a demo” CTA – will I actually get a demo? 🤨 We all know trust is key to closing a deal, but it’s surprising how often companies overlook it right at the start of the buying journey with “Book a demo” or “Watch a live demo” CTAs. If you’re asking me to fill out a form for a real demo—great, go ahead and use those CTAs! But if it’s actually a 15-minute discovery call with an SDR who will then schedule another meeting with an AE, why not be upfront about it- you will probably earn more trust. At Knock, we’ve found that offering buyers the chance to chat first—letting them ask questions, learn, and get real value—builds trust from the start and respects everyone’s time.
