Calling all hair colourists and salon owners! ❤️💇♀️ The biggest, most comprehensive survey of colour pricing is currently underway, with thousands of stylists and owners worldwide already signed up and benefiting from unique data that is helping them improve their business. But the organiser, Vish Colour Management, is urging even more to take part before the survey closes in June. “We want this to be the biggest, non-manufacturer linked survey of colour charging ever carried out so that we can help salons and colourists ensure they are charging the best price for their talented services,” said Tom Bentley-Taylor, Managing Director of Vish Europe, Middle East and Asia. The short questionnaire has been developed by Vish to scrutinise variances in charging within similar businesses across the globe and to investigate how colour costs can skew profits. Every one of the 1,000-plus participants who have already filled in the survey has received instant (and anonymous) results on what others are charging, nationally and in their region, with the promise of a more comprehensive study using proprietary colour data from Vish once complete. “Our aim is to share insight into how pricing translates into profit for salons with everyone who participates, and to find out if new pricing strategies are increasing profitability.” To complete the colour survey and receive your free report on data-driven colour strategies use the link below: https://lnkd.in/d3tvuKQg

Case Study: How We Increased Bookings by 50% for our Client's Hair Salon shop with a New Website Design We recently worked with our Client’s Hair Salon, a local barbershop that wanted to get more customers and make it easier for people to book appointments online. Their old website wasn’t user-friendly, and customers were having trouble finding information and booking services. The Problem: Issue: The website was hard to use, and there was no easy way to book an appointment. Goal: Create a new, modern website that lets customers book appointments quickly and easily. Our Solution: 1. Easy Online Booking: We added a simple booking system that lets customers choose their service, pick a time, and book in just a few clicks. 2. Mobile-Friendly Website: Since many clients visit the website on their phones, we made sure the new design looks great and works smoothly on mobile devices. 3. Showcasing Services: We updated the website to show all the salon’s services with clear descriptions and high-quality images, so customers can easily see what’s available. 4. Customer Reviews: We included a section for reviews and testimonials from happy customers to help build trust and encourage new clients to book. 5. Simple Navigation: We made it easy to find information about services, pricing, and how to book. No more getting lost or confused! 6. Better Search Results: We optimized the website for search engines so that the salon shows up when people search for nearby barbershops or hair salons. The Results: After launching the new website, here’s what happened: Bookings increased by 50%! -30% more customers visited the site from their phones. Fewer customer questions since all the info they needed was easy to find on the site. With this new website, Client’s Hair Salon is now getting more customers and booking appointments faster than ever. If you have a business and want to attract more clients online, we can help! #WebDesign #HairSalon #CaseStudy #OnlineBookings #SmallBusiness

A Lesson from the Hair Salon: Understanding Market Shifts Yesterday, while getting a haircut at a salon, I struck up a conversation with the barber. As we chatted, he mentioned, “Nowadays, these particular brand blades aren’t as good in quality.” I replied, “But this is a well-known brand, right? Their blades are more expensive than others.” He responded, “That used to be true. They’ve lowered their prices, but the quality has dropped too.” Curious, I asked, “Do you know why?” He explained, “They’re focusing on manufacturing quality trimmers because younger generations like you are moving from traditional shaving to trimming. People want various styles for their beards, which is why they prefer salon services over shaving at home.” He continued, “This brand realizes that if their prices are too high, salon owners won’t choose their products. So, they’ve compromised on quality while reducing prices, leaving customers unaware of the blade quality.” I was amazed. This lesson wasn’t something I learned in a classroom; it came from a casual chat in a salon. This experience highlighted a crucial point: you need to analyze who your customers are and understand their needs. When that brand targets actual consumers, they focus on quality. By understanding market shifts, they can identify needs and design products that meet those demands. Final Thoughts: Marketing isn’t just about providing the best; it’s about offering what truly suits your audience. Reflecting on this conversation, I realize how vital it is for brands to stay attuned to their customers’ changing preferences. #MarketingInsights #LessonsLearned #CustomerFirst

Good ventilation and temperature control are crucial in hair salons and barbershops for several reasons: 1. Health and Safety: Hair salons and barbershops often use chemical products such as hair dyes, sprays, and perm solutions, which can emit fumes. Proper ventilation helps to disperse these potentially harmful chemicals, reducing the risk of respiratory issues or allergic reactions for both clients and staff. 2. Comfort: A comfortable temperature ensures a pleasant experience for customers. If it’s too hot or too cold, clients may feel uncomfortable during their service, leading to dissatisfaction. For staff, maintaining a comfortable working environment helps improve productivity and morale. 3. Air Quality: Good ventilation reduces the buildup of hair particles, dust, and fumes, keeping the air fresh. This is especially important in enclosed spaces, where poor air circulation can lead to stale, unpleasant odors. 4. Humidity Control: Hair treatments like blow drying and straightening can raise the humidity level, making the environment uncomfortable and potentially damaging equipment. Good ventilation helps to regulate humidity, ensuring both comfort and equipment longevity. 5. Regulatory Compliance: Many local health and safety regulations require hair salons and barbershops to maintain certain standards of ventilation and temperature control to ensure the wellbeing of customers and workers. In summary, good ventilation and temperature management contribute to a healthier, more comfortable, and more professional atmosphere, enhancing the overall customer experience.

High-End Hair Salon Prices Are Skyrocketing! 💇♂️ Between 2019 and 2024, luxury salon services surged over 27%. In cities like NYC, LA, and Chicago, haircuts and coloring now exceed $500. What’s driving the costs? - Higher Wages & Product Costs: Rising pay for stylists and pricier products. - Social Media Influence: Insta-worthy trends drive up demand—and prices. - Added Fees: Extra charges for blow-drying and “extras” that were once free. From balayage jumping from $168 to $289 in NYC to soaring cut prices, it’s clear: beauty now comes with a bigger price tag. Are we paying for quality or hype?
