I wanted to share a recent experience I've encountered while job hunting here in Cebu.
Over the past few weeks, I've applied to several local companies in the area, excited about the prospect of joining dynamic teams, being back in the corporate office set-up and of course, contributing my skills. However, I've noticed a concerning trend: despite my sincere efforts, I haven't received any updates from most Recruiters.
The absence of communication, be it a rejection or a simple update, leaves candidates like me feeling uncertain and somewhat disconnected from the process. It's as if we're left hanging in the "ere," unsure of where we stand in the application journey.
In this digital age, where technology offers countless solutions, I urge companies to consider automating their hiring systems. Implementing automated updates or acknowledgment emails can provide candidates with the clarity and closure they deserve, while also streamlining the recruitment process for busy recruiters.
I understand the challenges that Recruiters face, especially when managing a high volume of applications because I am one of them. However, I believe that by embracing technology, we can create a more transparent and efficient hiring experience that benefits both applicants and employers alike. 😉
