What's up, everybody? My name is Sam Brown. I'm the founder of Temp Program, an original author of ACA 3, which became ACA, which is now Prop 6. It's going to be on the November ballot. And we got 81 days to go before you vote. And I just need you to know. And because of a voluntary servitude, a person could be incarcerated and forced to do the same job for years. They could be in the kitchen washing dishes, cooking for thousands of people on the yard crew or even in the building cleaning tears in the kitchen. You're going to work in industrial grill in the scullery. You gonna learn how to operate heavy machinery on the yard crew. You'll be cleaning, manicuring and beautifying the scenery. In the building, you call you a Porter, and you cleaning, cleaning everything from dirt to filth to germs to blood spills. And then, if you're fortunate to get released when it's time to get a job, they're gonna look at you real ill. Fact of the matter is you have a gap in your employment history and they look at you like it's a mystery. Where's your reference letters? Why can't you place any of this stuff on your resume? And this is the type of stuff that people who are formally incarcerated have to deal with every day. But that's not right. And voluntary servitude is not right. Modern day slavery is not right. And we are the change makers and we're able to stop this. So 81 days to go. I just want you to know so you can say yes. On Prop 610, P 10.

On this Human Rights Day, we reflect on the historical and ongoing struggles faced by people of African descent due to colonialism, slavery, genocide, human trafficking, and displacement. The scars of these injustices continue to impact communities today through systemic inequalities, racial discrimination, and economic disparities.
