When it comes down to it What we see in our lack of regeneration Is the result of our inability To honour diversity And culture AND our original way and people Regeneration is life Life is what regenerates. We - our role- is as ally to life To allow it to do what it naturally does in the creation cycle. To caretake and support the harmony and flow What we do to ourselves we do to life Our separation from each other and nature and our colonised minds allow us to wedge more distance to where we belong … This Means we aren't able to ally anything Not for humanity not for life Our inability to step out of colonisation is evident in the continued racism and oppression The result being we don’t know how to be ally to life itself and her needs Or how to ally our First Nations people We are so colonised in our way and thinking it runs to our core And it is what prevents us from allowing life to continue With life’s lead As well as what continues our disregard towards Indigenous cultures We now continue with hope of humanity’s mind and invention saving the day Rather than humanity’s heart and intention guiding the way Which would lead us to reconciliation For us to truly understand what it is we need to do our return to sacredness must be a part of our process To honour and accept each other as one To learn how to hold allyship towards our First Nations people will assist us to be ally for life For they are still close to life’s whispers itself Hence why we are to return to ourselves and to their way Reconciliation week has begun. Participate. Learn. Listen. Become strong ally’s It is an act for everyday to begin to truly honour First Nations people and place.
