How much do I get per stream on Spotify in 2024 ? It has been almost a year since we last examined how much Spotify pays per stream and thus showed how extremely dependent these numbers are on the country from which each stream originates. Since the numbers are constantly changing and there have been more and more new countries being added, we have once again analyzed mountains of data to deliver you the 2024 update on Spotify’s Pay Per Stream (PPS). The goal of the assessment is firstly to help understand Spotify’s payout system. However, additionally, it can also give some indication on which countries might be well worth an additional marketing campaign launch. Here's the brutal truth about Spotify Wrapped: Of all the artists who will be excitedly posting their numbers next month only 0.1% will make six figures... Most will make pennies. I hope to gawd they have a business plan beyond streaming If you don't, here it is. It's called the True Fan Funnel It goes like this: Step 1: Content Use engaging content to engage the masses (top of funnel). Step 2: Convert to email Use giveaways, early releases and storytelling to drive the most interested people to an email list (middle of funnel). Step 3: Nurture your list This doesn't mean spamming your list when you want gig tickets sold or extra streams. It means understanding your ideal fan avatar and providing them value regularly. Step 4: Make offers Have real conversations with your audience and identify the ones that are or are becoming your superfans. Get to know them and make unique offers - bespoke songs, merch, private shows. Step 5: Patience, patience, patience Building real, human being fans that care about your music takes TIME. Don't expect this to happen overnight and stick to the process. (Alternatively, ignore everything I am saying, keep feeding the beast that are the streaming platforms and hope you get lucky, some do)
