Networking 101 for high-functioning introverts: If you’re like me and find the idea of networking exhausting, try these few tips. They worked for me, they might work for you: 1. Engage on your own terms Don’t like f2f meetings? Try video calls, or simple phone calls. Have a script for the opening of the conversation. I typically try to connect what the other person does for a living with what I do for a living. But don’t script the entire conversation or you’ll end up coming across as automated. Instead, let the responses to your opening lines guide the rest of the conversation organically. 2. Focus on Quality over Quantity Don’t spread yourself thin over dozens of LinkedIn contacts, professional mixers, or seminars. Pick and choose folks who can help you, and who you can help in return. People you genuinely want to meet and connect with. 3. Figure out how you feel Most functioning introverts have to hype themselves up before a meeting. They then feel energized and involved during the meeting, and afterwards, they feel exhausted and drained out. I know I do. So, don’t schedule back-to-back meetings. Give yourself enough time to recharge and regroup after each meeting. Networking is important to grow in your career. But it needn’t become a necessary evil. #networking #business #career #work

This is great advice. Thanks for sharing.I consider myself an ambivert and enjoy meeting new people. I had back to back meetings yesterday and noticed my recovery period was longer than usual 😂 point 3 is so valid
