Located in Ehningen, Germany, it is the second quantum data center we have deployed in the world, and our first outside of the United States. Now live with two advanced quantum systems that can operate beyond brute-force classical computing methods, this cutting-edge facility will soon feature our most performant quantum computer yet: an IBM Quantum Heron-based system with breakthrough performance. Together with our #IBMQuantum Network of more than 250 enterprises, universities, and research institutions - including 80 based in Europe - we look forward to tapping into these systems and our entire global fleet to push the boundaries of quantum computing, and explore how it could tackle pressing issues in healthcare, materials science, energy, logistics, and more. For me, this is really exciting – I studied quantum at university … and now it is a reality that we can harness the true power of this shift in computing architecture.
