While I do not believe that simply due to working in HR someone needs more respect , or that all HR employee are hard working; I do love how this shows the diverse skill set needed to be an asset to the HR team and how it simply captures the diversity of the work HR is (should) be doing.

In the corporate world, many roles are labeled as "non-revenue generating" because they are not directly tied to sales or profits. Yet, it's a mistake to underestimate their value. Human Resources, administration, and other support functions might not bring in revenue directly, but their contribution to the overall success of a company is immense. The roles often deemed as "non-revenue" are the backbone of any organization. These departments are the ones that ensure the company runs smoothly, employees are supported, policies are followed, and culture is maintained. Without them, revenue-generating departments would struggle to perform at their best. A well-structured HR department, for example, ensures that the right talent is recruited, retained, and motivated, creating an environment where teams can thrive and reach their full potential. In truth, these roles are revenue enablers. The operational efficiency, employee satisfaction, and compliance they bring are critical to maintaining a healthy, thriving organization. If we limit our understanding of value to direct profits alone, we miss the bigger picture—success is holistic. True wisdom lies in recognizing that every part of an organization is interconnected, and no role should be underestimated based on its immediate impact on the bottom line. Instead, it’s about fostering a culture of respect, acknowledgment, and teamwork across all functions.
