🦟 Did you know? Cicadas are generally harmless to humans and animals. They lack the physical structures to bite or sting, so there's no need to worry about them causing harm. Their mouthparts are more like a straw than teeth, so they can't bite, and they don't have stingers to sting. 🌳 Cicadas may be more interested in trees than people! Sometimes they might try to pierce and suck, mistaking you for a tree, but they're just confused and harmless. You can gently pick them up by their sides, and the most they'll do is vibrate and make noise. 💼 At Servpro, we're here to provide peace of mind for your home or business—yes, even during cicada season. While they may be a nuisance, rest assured that cicadas pose no threat to your property. #Cicadas #NatureFacts #PeaceOfMind #ServproSafety #RestorationExperts #FireRestoration #WaterDamageRepair #PropertyRestoration

Cicadas are coming! While they are pretty harmless to most trees and plants, female cicadas can cause some damage to young trees when they lay their eggs on smaller branches and trunks. Whether you've received young trees through our native plant sale or TreeKeepers Grant, you can help protect your trees by netting them: 🌳Look for a netting material, like tulle, that lets in air and sunlight. 🌳The gaps and holes in your netting should be no bigger than a quarter of an inch wide. 🌳Secure the net around the trunk with rope or binder clips. 🌳Remove the netting after the cicada season and check for damage.

Animals in the attic will invariably leave waste behind, and this waste can act as a vector for the spread of illness in addition to causing other issues. Restoration of the attic isn’t always required; however, if there is a significant amount of damage to the attic as well as animal feces, it is likely a good idea to clean the attic. The expense of restoring your attic is not always low, but it can prove to be a worthwhile investment in either your well-being or the value of your property. https://lnkd.in/eHnKAdNU #DiscountWaterAndMold #WaterRemoval #MoldRemoval
