Only 32% of people stick to this, and that's why they're successful 👇 Creating a roadmap and strategies (planning) is the easy part, but “implementing and staying the course” is where success lies. The same goes for your finances. You can't just create a budget to save $1,000 and then splurge on a costly bag. Budgeting or, better yet, having a clear understanding of your “Cash-Flow” is the backbone of financial health and wealth building. Most people either aren't aware of this or choose to neglect it. Many get overwhelmed with anxiety when facing their personal finances, and some don't even know where to start. Let’s be honest, who wants to sacrifice the enjoyment of living fully right NOW and reaping the rewards from their hard-earned money?? However, just realize that there is a real (long-term) cost for not being mindful and/or conscious of your cash-flow and money habits. Here's how you can create a simple step-by-step budget and stick to it: → Set Clear Financial Goals (short & long-term) → Track Your Income and Expenses → Be Aware of Your Spending Habits → Begin Making Small Shifts → Monitor and Adjust → Open a Separate Cash Savings Account and Watch it Grow Why does cash-flow consciousness matter? → Financial Awareness: Helps you understand where your money is going. → Control Over Finances: Empowers you to make informed financial decisions. → Achieve Goals Faster: Ensures you are saving and investing towards your financial goals. It's that simple, you just have to stick to it and you'll see powerful, life changing results in no time! ------------------------------ Hi, I'm Fred Kettler, and I'm starting “the Slow & Steady Series : 30 Days to Greater Financial Peace of Mind with Fred” A financial literacy series to help you make safe money decisions and build real wealth! Have you ever noticed how we talk about financial freedom? It's always some far-off dream. - Something we'll get to "eventually." - Something very distant in the future. But what I've learned after 15 years in financial planning is that: ➝ Financial freedom isn't a destination. ➝ It's a journey that starts right now, with your very next decision. If you're still unsure, wondering what the hell am I talking about, let me share a quick story about 2 people. Sarah and Mike. Both are 30. Both making $50k a year. - Sarah decided to start small. - She set aside just $50 a week - about the cost of a nice dinner out. - Mike said he'd start "when he got a raise." - He waited 5 years, then started putting aside $100 a week. Fast forward 30 years. Assuming a 7% annual return: • Sarah has $323,000 • Mike has $264,000 That's a $59,000 difference. All because Sarah started TODAY, not "someday." But this isn't just about money. It's more than that. ➝ Sarah built a habit. ➝ She learned to prioritize her future self. ➝ She gained confidence in her ability to shape her financial destiny. Mike spent 5 years feeling guilty every time he thought about finances. He missed out on years of learning, adjusting, and growing. Now tell me: Do you want to be Sarah or Mike? If you want to be the former: ➝ Start now. ➝ With whatever you have. ➝ Consistency trumps amount. Small, regular investments beat sporadic large ones. So, let's flip the script on financial freedom. What's one small financial action you can take this week? Let me know in the comments below.

My wife and I have conflicting money values, so we get therapy. That therapy is Financial Planning. When it comes to money: - She values freedom. - I value security. A daughter of a single mom, money was scarce. So when there was extra, it meant that she and her two sisters got allowance to buy whatever they wanted with that money. Freedom to spend. I was a young teenager when my parents moved to the USA. Money was also scarce, and I felt the stress when there wasn't enough. When there was extra money , the mood at home changed. There was a sense of security. So when money hits the bank, one wants to spend it and the other wants to stockpile it. Neither is good or bad. It's what we value based on our own experiences. But we had to find a balance. We are continously working at it. I haven't found the secret sauce to find permanent balance. And that's where Financial Planning comes in. It is ongoing. Continously monitoring our financial situation. Having conversations about our goals, priorities and money. That financial awareness provides us with information to manage both of our values the best we can. 😁 Sometimes freedoms wins. 😎 Other times security is prioritized. Here are two items that we review via financial planning to help us balance it out. - Quarterly review of our income and expenses. Where did the money go? How much can go towards freedom? How much was saved/invested for security and future flexibility? - Review our Net Worth. Are our assets growing and liabilities decreasing strategically? Are we in a healthy and secure financial situation? ____________ How does money make you feel? What's a feeling that comes to mind when talking about money? _____________ If you would like to integrate financial planning into your lifestyle, get clarity and financial peace of mind, feel free to reach out. It is a great way to start the new year. #knowyourkoyns

Learn life-changing money lessons in this video. Discover budgeting tips, frugal living advice, and personal finance strategies for a better financial future. If I could go back in time and sit down with my younger self, I’d have a long talk about money. It’s funny how we think we’re invincible when we’re young, like we’ll always have time to figure things out. But let me tell you, there are ten lessons about money that I learned way too late, and I wish someone had slapped me upside the head with them back then. First off, financial literacy. I thought I could just wing it, nodding along to terms like “compound interest” and “asset allocation,” pretending I understood. But I didn’t. Ignorance cost me dearly. If I had cracked open a book or taken a course, I could have built a solid foundation instead of stumbling through the dark. Then there’s saving and investing early. I thought, “I’ll start saving when I have a real job.” Spoiler alert: that real job never came as soon as I thought it would. Life throws curveballs, and before I knew it, I was in my thirties, still playing catch-up. If I had set aside a little each month from the start, I’d be sitting on a nice nest egg now instead of scrambling. Budgeting? Oh man, I used to think it was a straitjacket, limiting my freedom. But it’s a roadmap. I spent years living paycheck to paycheck, unaware of where my money was going. If I had tracked my expenses, I could have plugged the leaks before they sank my ship. Lifestyle inflation? I fell into that trap hard. I got a raise and upgraded my lifestyle instead of saving. New car, fancy dinners, the latest gadgets. It felt good, but now I see it for what it was: a fast track to financial instability. Diversifying investments? I learned that the hard way, putting all my eggs in one basket. When that basket cracked, I was left scrambling. If I had spread my investments, I wouldn’t have felt that gut-wrenching panic when the market dipped.
