Revisiting Indian culture In India, our rich traditions and customs are deeply rooted in our culture, but it's essential to revisit and modify them for a more inclusive future. As we celebrate life, let's reflect on how we bless, and gift married couples. The practice of primarily wishing for sons and gifting Krishna's idol to pregnant women can inadvertently perpetuate biases against daughters. Gift them Radha’s idol as well. In many parts of India, the birth of son is celebrated with folk songs but reality hits hard when daughters are born. As an Indian married male, the constant blessings from elders as Putra Vadhu bhav , Krishna jaisa lala ho, Ganpati jaisa ladla ho, is where I believe, we are defeating the purpose of inclusivity. I am still dying to meet one person on planet who blesses you for having a daughter. While we celebrate Durga Puja, Diwali and any other festivals in India and honor the goddess within every woman, let’s commit to creating a safer, more empowering society for our girls. It’s time to shift our focus from rituals to real change. That in true sense will be a Happy Daughters Day. #DaughtersDay #BlessingsinIndia #Revisitvalues #Marriedcouples #India #Devipooja #Culture #Itstimetochange #genderinclusivity #Diversity #Inclusion #Durgapooja #festivals

🌍 A Message of Solidarity, Peace, and Prosperity As we witness reports of horrific violence against Hindus, Christians, and other minorities in Bangladesh, it’s heartbreaking to see the suffering inflicted on these communities. Sadly, this type of chaos seems to have grown under leaders who’ve looked away rather than acted. This violence and loss of freedom should concern all of us—no matter where we live. Here’s what’s at stake: 1. Protecting Religious Freedom: Hindu Americans and other communities deserve leadership that stands against violence and defends religious freedoms both here and around the world. I am committed to strengthening this protection and ensuring America remains a place of refuge and tolerance. 2. Strengthening Global Partnerships: America’s partnership with India and other allies is crucial for stability and security. We need leaders who understand these relationships, who can make decisions based on peace and prosperity for all. This Diwali, we’re reminded of the power of friendship and the strength that comes from unity. 3. Empowering Small Businesses and the Economy: While others focus on burdensome regulations and taxes that stifle growth, I believe in cutting barriers, unleashing American energy, and building an economy that creates opportunities for everyone—business owners, job seekers, and families alike. This Festival of Lights, may we be reminded that good can triumph over evil and that unity can overcome division. Happy Diwali to all! May this Diwali bring hope, prosperity, and light to everyone. Let's work together to build a future we’re all proud of—a future of peace, strength, and shared prosperity. #PeaceThroughStrength #GlobalPartnerships #HappyDiwali #UnityThroughDiversity

𝙃𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙮 𝙄𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝘿𝙖𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙮🇮🇳 A country where ᴡᴏᴍᴇɴ were considered the power, the main source, the goddesses above the gods, where they were worshipped are being tainted with the sinful and monstrous hands of men. A country where ᴡᴏᴍᴇɴ never used to wear blouses under their sarees because it’s not good for their health, are being forced to wear bras because it’s “vulgar” to not wear one. A country where Mahabharat and Ramayan happened because the men who tried to befoul ᴡᴏᴍᴇɴ, are now told to “wear better clothes”, “to cover themselves up”,that they’re “asking for it”, and they should take “precautions”. A country where people consider just two humans loving each other disgusting but not all these men just roaming around, raping the innocent. We do candle marches, riots, we scream, we shout, so why are we never heard? The “Rape culture” has become so normalised in India that we dont even realise it, that we have started victim-blaming so much, that at this point, if someone hears that someone was raped, the first question is, “what was she wearing?” We celebrate Dussehra every year and Diwali with so much love, lights and passion but do we change our mentality, we never learn what our culture is meant to teach us. Because we never emphasise it. 𝐒𝐨, 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐨 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐫, 𝐚 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐨𝐟. EID HAS BECOME VICTIM OF CORPORATE INSENSITIVITY- I hope India becomes a country where multiculturalism is truly practiced. A key part of this is allowing people to share and celebrate together. However, corporate leave calendars often exclude Eid, the biggest festival for India's largest minority. While festivals like Holi, Diwali, and even Christmas are well recognized, Eid is often an optional holiday or ignored entirely. This neglects India's pluralistic ethos. To build a society where everyone can live peacefully, we must celebrate all communities' festivals. In the USA, Diwali is celebrated not just because of the large Indian population, but to help everyone appreciate their neighbors' cultures. India should adopt a similar approach to foster mutual respect and unity. It is high time that corporates and big companies started facilitating policies that truly reflect the country’s pluralistic ethos, rather than paying lip service to social responsibility. Not doing so would mean abdicating their responsibility towards communal harmony and peaceful coexistence—something our country, which has often seen communal tensions, can ill afford. If there is a rupture in the secular fabric of the nation, they are equally culpable. #equality #justiceforall #corporate #indianlaw #indianconstitution

PLEASE READ & SHARE AWARENESS 🤗🪔 #WorkPlaceCulturalAwareness With Diwali coming up this October, I want the residents and citizens to be aware that a common symbol of this holiday is a Diwali swastika. This symbol is known to date back to 3000 BCE. A symbol of good fortune and good wishes, the swastika is a holy symbol in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. The word "swastika" comes from the Sanskrit words su (good) and ati (to prevail). In Hinduism, the right-hand swastika is a sign of the sun and auspiciousness, while the left-hand version symbolizes the night and the goddess. Understanding the concerns people may have seeing this symbol being displayed on cars and houses, we wanted to inform all of you that there is good reason you may see it more frequently this month because of Diwali October 31-November 1. This post is in light of some police department already fielding calls regarding people seeing this symbol on cars and houses. We are trying to eliminate any unwarranted hostility towards any person displaying this for their religious purposes. Sharing insights on LinkedIn, it's important not to judge or make assumptions about coworkers based on appearances or situations—awareness is key! #workplacediversity No Hate , Just Love 🤗 #IndianCulture #Diversity #diwali2024 #culturalexchange #bellevilleontario #bayofquinte #workplaceawareness #youngchangemaker

If a person resides in Delhi and He doesn't have any vehicle for personal use, he always use public transport to commute, he is non-smoker, lives very simple life in Delhi but Delhi government has ban the use of crackers during the festival of Diwali. Is these types of act Delhi government is constitutional valid in the eyes of Indian Constitution. Which gives us rights to celebrate festival and what about right to equality for Delhi people where rest of India celebrated Diwali by their own customs and traditions. Banning crackers or any other bans like water in Holi etc, During Hindus festival in any part of the country in India is the the violation of fundamental rights of Indian citizens, right to religion(Article 25)and right to equality(Article 14)and right to live with dignity (Article 21). Government has to find permanent solution for environmental issues. Banning any tradition, culture and customs of practices in religions which was practiced by the peoples of that religion are not constitutionally valid. Because Acts of majority ( those pollution emissions peoples) dose not have right to decide the Act of Minority peoples (Environmental friendly people's). #Diwali2024 #HappyDiwali2024 #BurnCrackers #RighttoReligion #equality #Article14 #LightingFestival
