Known as “The Festival of Lights”, Diwali is celebrated by billions of Hindus everywhere. Due to its deep spiritual symbolism, Diwali is an important and inspiring event in the life of every yogi. 🕉 🕉 🕉 Diwali as Krishna the Freedom Bringer: In the south of India, Diwali is celebrated to mark a story - that of Lord Krishna’s heroic battles against the demon Narakasura, with goddess Kali by his side. By defeating the demon, Krishna freed 16,000 girls from captivity and set the world free from evil. Does it sound familiar? So many demons around today and so many children are to be freed ... 🕉 Take a candle, sit with it, silence your mind, breathe calmly, and pray, wish for the best you can wish for all, for all of us. Diwali is not only for the Hindus. LIGHT is for all. For every single human being, and the whole planet, animals, plants, crystals, the soil, ... all. Knowledge, wisdom, truth, love, peace, and prosperity is for all. Celebrate, sing, pray, meditate - this week of festivities is especially important if spent with care and love. May the Divine Light pave your way wherever you go, at every step of your way 🙏 💖 With Love, Kripāmaya #Diwali #diwali2024 #diwalicelebration #DivineBlessings #divinelight #loveandlight #ProsperityForAll See less

India Spent Rs 4,25,00,00,00,000 this Diwali and it's not over yet. We celebrate Diwali as a festival of light and the homecoming of Lord Rama. It is India's biggest festival and a major boost for the Indian economy. ₹0.5 lakh crore in 2019 to an expected ₹4.25 lakh crore in 2024, Diwali spending has seen exponential growth. It clearly shows the rise in disposable income and the change in the mindset of Indians when it comes to spending. The best part is that people are buying from locals, raising the bar for Vocal for Local. Nevertheless, It is that one festival that is a homecoming for all of us no matter where we are, we just want to reach home before Diwali. Happy Diwali Everyone. How did you celebrate Diwali this year?

Diwali is a significant festival for most Hindus and celebrated over 5 days. I have prepared a resource for RE Teachers on the 4th day of Diwali. This is a significant festival for many Hindus and especially those who worship Krishna as the supreme God. It is an addition to teaching about the variety of ways in which Diwali is celebrated in Hinduism / Sanatana Dharma. #ReligiousEducation #HinduismRE #ReligiousEducationUK #ReligionandWorldviews #REChatUK https://lnkd.in/guk4CY5X

The rangoli represents the happiness, positivity and liveliness of a household, and is intended to welcome Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and good luck. It is believed that a Hindu household without a clean entrance and rangoli is an abode of daridra (bad luck). The purpose of rangoli is beyond decoration. Happy Diwali! Diwali is a five-day Hindu celebration in the months of Ashvin and Kartika, typically falling in mid-October to mid-November. It is observed on Amavasya, the fifteenth day of Kartik.
