In our latest publication with Anna Farmaki we examine Female Airbnb hosts' empowerment and the effect on their quality of life. Our study explores how hosting on Airbnb empowers women across various dimensions - economic, social, psychological, and more - and how this empowerment enhances their quality of life. Using Structural Equation Modelling on a sample of 343 female hosts, we discovered that motives and proactive attitudes play a crucial role in how empowerment is experienced. Interestingly, previous tourism experience also moderates the level of empowerment. #WomenEmpowerment #Airbnb #Research #GenderEquality
