As we all know October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. A friend of mine was diagnosed last year with breast cancer. I later learned her mother and grandmother also had breast cancer. She received the BRCA test that checks for mutations in the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes after her diagnosis when it was too late to be proactive. Like many people, she just didn't want to know. As providers, we must start thinking proactively. As patients, we must start asking questions and fearlessly accept the answers received. As technology all-stars, we must continue to create products that are advantageous for patients and providers alike that can assist with the many facets of a cancer diagnosis. #Breastcancerawareness #BRCAStrong

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Did you know that last year an estimated 75 Canadians per day heard the life changing words: "You have breast cancer." More and more people are surviving breast cancer now than ever before, but it's still the second leading cause of cancer deaths among Canadian women. There are ways you can help yourself and others to beat this horrible disease: 1. Don't forget to do your self exams. 2. If you have any concerns, early detection is important so go see your doctor. 3. If you are a woman aged 40 or over, get screened regularly Fundraise and donate to help fund breast cancer research (https://lnkd.in/d_UkHKrU) #CaringSupport #BreastCancerAwareness #GetScreened

Our CEO, Jean Sachs, joined Good Morning Washington to talk about the importance of biomarker testing for breast cancer. Watch to learn more about biomarker testing and the crucial role it plays in guiding treatment decisions for metastatic breast cancer. #breastcancer #metastaticbreastcancer #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth #bcam
This post is intended for US audiences. Just yesterday we recognized #MetastaticBreastCancerDay, a moment for all of us to honor those living with breast cancer. In the US, 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, with 1 in 3 of those diagnosed eventually becoming metastatic. I’m honored to have joined Jean Sachs and ABC7’s Good Morning Washington to talk about the impact of breast cancer and the importance of knowing your biomarker status to inform treatment decisions. It's through the incredible work of organizations like Living Beyond Breast Cancer and programs like No One Missed that we can collectively ensure all eligible patients have access to biomarker testing. #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth #BreastCancer #HER2 #BreastCancerAwareness

Breast cancer awareness starts with understanding the facts. One common myth is that underwire bras or deodorant use increases breast cancer risk. The truth? There’s no scientific evidence to back this up. According to the American Cancer Society and the National Cancer Institute, there’s no connection. At eCampus, we believe in providing accurate, helpful information. This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, take a moment to get the facts straight and share them with others. Together, we can make a difference. #BreastCancerAwareness #MythVsFact #BreastHealth #eLearning #eCampus #HealthEducation #LearnSmarter

Significant gaps exist in collecting real-world evidence and validated patient-reported outcomes (PROs) data from individuals with breast cancer. To bridge these gaps, Breast Cancer Canada has launched the PROgress Tracker Breast Cancer Registry, a groundbreaking project designed to capture the lived patient experience and identify gaps across diverse populations. PROgress Tracker represents Canada’s first national breast cancer registry that is designed and implemented by a patient-led research organization. By gathering comprehensive, real-world data, this registry will support evidence-based decision-making and inform patient-centered healthcare changes across Canada and beyond.
