Nike 👟 just debuted its first fully 3d printed shoe this weekend for wear called the Air Max 1000 at Complex NTWRK's ComplexCon. This was done with the same manufacturing partner we have, Zellerfeld Shoe Company Inc. The release further enforces our premise for wanting to work with Cornelius Schmitt and the Zellerfeld team. He has cracked the code for making 3d printed shoes that are actually comfortable and really work like normal production shoes! 💡 Seeing the Nike collaboration be printed in real time at the convention was quite something. Zellerfeld's process to make shoes consists of two different plastics being printed, one that is designed for the shoe itself and another to help hold the design in place and keep it's shape. It's amazing to see one layer printed on top of another and even the unique custom insertion of the air bubble in the sole was great. The Nike booth was beautiful and very well planned out to embody their culture and future. Our upcoming Syntilay slide, which implements AI design commercially in addition to 3d printing, will be available in a matter of weeks. We believe AI is going to start a major new trend in design and 3d printing will channel those capability into reality! 🎨 High Production Costs in Fashion Design: A Creative Challenge or a Barrier to Innovation? 💸 In the fashion industry, high production costs often serve as both a challenge and a barrier to innovation. Designers and brands are constantly juggling the need to create quality, sustainable products while managing limited budgets. These costs can stifle creativity and restrict access to premium materials, leading to compromises in design and production processes. However, this challenge also pushes the industry to explore alternative methods, like digital design and 3D printing, that can reduce expenses while maintaining creativity. The key is to balance cost-efficiency with innovation, ensuring that high-quality fashion remains accessible without sacrificing artistry. #FashionDesign #InnovationInFashion #CostEfficiency

My journey in 3D printing fashion began seven years ago, fuelled by a desire to challenge unsustainable parts of the fashion industry. One of the downsides of 3D printing, however, is the limited availability of alternatives to fossil fuel-based (flexible!) filaments. During my masters, I tried to make an alternative biomaterial and discovered how difficult it is to create stretchable filaments, and unfortunately had to conclude that this was not a project I could do by myself. Throughout my exploration, I had faith that there are more people concerned with and working on solving this problem, so I focussed on designing garments with disassembly in mind, which already encourages circularity through ease of repair and recycling at the end of life. Ready to swap out the plastics when the opportunity arose. Being included in this collaboration with Balena signifies more than just a partnership — it's a testament to the power of collective action and shared values. Together, we are not only pushing the boundaries of 3D printing fashion, I also hope this will inspire positive change within the industry. #3DprintedFashion #3DprintedFabric #3DprintedTextile #ModularFashion #Fashion #Innovation

Product creation 💻 🪄 is going to change drastically in our lifetime! Shoe manufacturing 👟 is one of the first places we are already seeing this happen. Some new technologies get hyped to be super important now, when in reality, they need more time. With 3d printing, we have long heard the ideal use cases but it has been rarer to see them impactful for the average person to benefit from in a more forward facing way. This is starting to change at a faster rate than previously expected and Zellerfeld Shoe Company Inc. , our manufacturing partner, is a great example. 😁 Nike's booth at ComplexCon featured their 3d printed shoe collaboration being 3d printed on the spot inside the booth itself! The way Zellerfeld prints shoes is very sophisticated and ahead of it's time in many ways. 📕 3d printed shoes printed for practical wear by: - A support material of plastic, generally transparent, printed where the shoe is not to keep it upright and then is removed after. 🦾 - A plastic material that is extruded layer by layer, but is more comfortable than just typical 3d printed plastic. Making this plastic have "give" and be wearable. These two innovations are drastic and make the 3d printed shoe from sci-fi no longer a fiction! 🏂 We at Syntilay have taken the potential of 3d printing one step further into the future. We let AI do the design work with Kedar Benjamin to change the design process and the manufacturing from the standard! www.syntilay.com #sneakers #sneakerculture #ai #aidesign

From Tailor’s Table to 3D Clo: Is Fashion’s Future Fully Digital? 🧵➡️💻 Fashion is rapidly transforming as 3D Clo and 3D printing redefine traditional design methods. But does this technology challenge traditional craftsmanship, or does it elevate creativity? In the past, designers relied on manual prototyping, fittings, and adjustments. Now, 3D Clo enables real-time iterations, reducing waste. Yet, questions remain: Can digital designs achieve the depth of handmade creations? Will consumers fully trust digital-only products? At Seduno, we believe the future of fashion lies in integrating both worlds. By adopting 3D Clo and advanced 3D printing, we not only boost design efficiency but also produce more sustainable and innovative garments. Our goal is to enhance, not replace, the craftsmanship that forms the core of fashion. #FashionTech #3DPrinting #DigitalTransformation #SustainableDesign #Seduno #InnovationInFashion #Craftsmanship

In the ever-changing field of jewelry production, it's essential to embrace new technologies to stay ahead. One such game-changing technology is CPX wax printing. This innovative process has revolutionized the way we design and produce jewelry, offering numerous advantages that enhance both creativity and efficiency. ✨Design Freedom: CPX wax printing offers unparalleled design freedom. Unlike traditional methods, CPX allows for the creation of intricate and complex designs with ease. This technology opens up a world of possibilities, enabling the production of detailed patterns and structures that would be challenging to replicate by hand. ⏱ Rapid Prototyping: Time is crucial in any industry, including jewelry manufacturing. CPX wax printing significantly accelerates the prototyping phase, reducing what used to take weeks to just days, if not hours. This rapid turnaround boosts productivity and allows for more iterations and refinements, providing designers with the opportunity to quickly visualize and refine their creations. 🌿Sustainability: In today’s environmentally conscious world, sustainability is a critical consideration. CPX wax printing is a more eco-friendly option compared to traditional manufacturing methods. It minimizes waste by using precise amounts of material only where needed, and the wax used in the printing process can often be recycled, further reducing the environmental impact. 💡Cost Efficiency: While the initial investment in CPX wax printing technology may seem high, the long-term savings are substantial. Reduced material waste, faster prototyping, and the ability to quickly make design changes all contribute to cost efficiency. Lower production costs mean better margins and the ability to offer more competitive pricing to customers. 🔧Versatility: CPX wax printing isn't limited to just prototyping; it's also incredibly versatile in creating final production pieces. The precision of the wax models ensures that the cast metal pieces retain all the intricate details of the original design, making it suitable for a wide range of jewelry types. Having integrated CPX wax printing into my workflow, I've experienced firsthand the transformation it brings. The ability to innovate rapidly and sustainably while maintaining high-quality standards is truly remarkable. If you're in the jewelry industry, embracing this technology could be the key to unlocking new levels of creativity and efficiency. What are your thoughts on CPX wax printing?
