I love this perfect example of how accessibility would benefit everyone... Grammy Winner Tyla, needed to be lifted up the stairs at The Met Gala because her dress is made of sand, If accessibility was embedded in to every facet of our society, from everyday buildings to glamorous galas it would improve everybody's experience. And as Jessica Jordan Ping mentioned, if the barriers at The Met Gala were removed, we might not only see greater disability representation at the event but also a higher level of artistry because when functionality and access are addressed, one can focus more on fashion and art. Accessibility and innovation go hand in hand. Can we please make The Met Gala accessible next year, it’s pretty clear non disabled folks would also benefit…!
