To all my fellow pharmacists, if you’re not aware, we are routinely paid hundreds of dollars BELOW OUR COST for many of the prescriptions we fill— Eliquis, generic Epipen, generic Flovent, and so many more. That’s criminal! Pharmacies are actually LOSING money by filling prescriptions. Using GoodRx for a patient can often cost the pharmacy a $13 fee for the privilege of giving the patient a discount. That’s right! We discount the cost to the patient to barely cover our cost and then pay a PBM for the privilege of arranging that discount. This makes zero sense and must stop! Join the fight!
