Sustainable Manufacturing. We must understand the factory's sustainability and ethics, and choose raw materials that are as natural as possible. 🌏 Passion for Sustainability: We are present the only company to have 100% of all products sustainable. We preserve 11,000 of forest around our factory to offset our carbon emissions. 🌱 Passion for preservation of Nature: Our family tea plantation is an integral part of our sustainability practice. The plantation is located near our factory and our quarries, which are part of the restoration and replanting efforts in the mountain range to preserve its ecology. We produce green, black, and oolong teas, which we love to share with our network at the tea table. 🏭 Sustainable Practices: We use abundant raw materials such as clay, feldspar, and quartz. We source from within 300km radius which lowers the transport and allows more control of the quality of materials as well as sustainability practices of our suppliers and their ethical practices. We prioritise respect for human rights and fair labor practices. Recently, I stumbled upon an ad boasting, "Shampoo Bar: Say No to Plastic Bottles!" – triggering a wave of nostalgia. It transported me back to the era when soap bars reigned supreme over the now-ubiquitous shampoo bottles. This reflection made me appreciate the simplicity and sustainability of life before the plastic invasion and how our ancestors seamlessly coexisted with nature, practising habits that revered the environment. Nowadays we have to wait for sustainability to be a trend before we realise its importance. In ancient times, the packaging of products was rooted in simplicity and nature-inspired solutions. Beauty rituals were often intertwined with cultural and religious practices. Natural materials like clay, leaves, and wooden containers were commonly used to store concoctions and everything. These materials not only served as packaging but also contributed to the preservation of the products or even infusing medicinal properties, reflecting an era where eco-friendly and sustainable practices were seamlessly integrated into daily life. The emphasis was on harnessing the gifts of the earth for beauty and health, highlighting a holistic approach that respected both the human body and the environment. Minimalism was the OG. While our ancestors may not have shouted "sustainability" from the rooftops, their eco-friendly choices, from banana leaves to bamboo baskets, laid the foundation for modern sustainable packaging. As we embrace contemporary sustainability, let's tip our hats to these ancient eco-pioneers! 🌿✨ In the picture: Flaunting my chance to work with clay while the results are soaking in the Sun! What fun stuff can go into this? Spill the beans! #sustainability #environment #sustainable #gosustainable

🌱 What Ancient Italian Fountains Can Teach Us About the Future of Sustainability 💧 Operations and sustainability: often painted as opposing forces, fighting for priority in the business world. But what if we’ve been looking at this wrong? What if, instead of clashing, operations could actually fuel sustainability? Here’s a thought—Italy’s iconic nasone fountains. These ancient, unassuming structures were built for a purely operational reason: to relieve pressure on Rome’s pipe systems and keep the water flowing in the sewers. Practical, right? Yet today, these fountains have become quiet warriors in the fight against plastic waste. By offering free, clean drinking water, these fountains prevent the use of over 300,000 plastic bottles every single day during peak season. That’s 100 million plastic bottles saved annually—just by continuing to do what they were originally designed for. What started as a simple infrastructure solution has become a cornerstone of sustainability. The lesson here? Sustainability doesn’t always have to be an added cost or a burden to operations. Sometimes, it’s about unlocking the hidden potential within existing systems. With the right mindset, operational excellence is sustainability. Imagine what we could achieve if we looked at our own operations through this lens. How many nasone fountains are hiding in your systems, just waiting to be discovered and transformed into sustainable solutions? Let’s challenge the way we see the relationship between operations and sustainability. Share your thoughts and examples of how operational systems have led to sustainable outcomes in your business. Let’s ignite a conversation! 👇 #Sustainability #Operations #GreenInfrastructure #Innovation #EnvironmentalImpact #WaterConservation #Rome #CircularEconomy #SustainableBusiness #PlasticWasteReduction #Efficiency
