And that's a wrap in Chicago 🏙️ Spent a week in the Windy City attending back-to-back events. First stop: GAINS Summit ↳ Moderated a panel discussion and conducted several interviews with industry experts. → Learned that users and clients want more opportunities to connect and provide real-time feedback. Second stop: Honorary Women in Supply Chain dinner ↳ Connected with some fabulous local women in the industry. → Learned the value of putting yourself out there. Third stop: JOC.com Inland Distribution Conference ↳ Had a blast hosting Inland TV (we covered everything from cargo crime to how the Hurricane Kirk will affect freight markets). → Learned that importers were prepared for the port strike and consumers should not start panic buying. My brain is still on overload from all the new industry knowledge I gained. And I can't wait to share it all with you. But more importantly, my heart is full from connecting with so many people. Every time I attend these kinds of event, I'm always in awe ... Not of how these events are organized (although that is impressive). But of the number of people who chose to invest in themselves by showing up. Because they know their self-worth. They believe they're "worth it" enough to spend money and time on. And that's the power of self-worth: recognizing your value. So, the next time an opportunity presents itself. Just remember, it'll be worthwhile. Because YOU are.
