Key Takeaway from the Innotech Conference: Everyone's talking about AI but everyone also needs to continue focusing on Data Governance and their overall Digital Transformation Strategy. If an organization doesn't have solid data governance (collection, access, ingestion, analytics) then they could face major hurdles with any project, regardless of the tool. If the underlying data and/or processes aren't solid, AI and other tools won't be able to provide the results you need. I've been in the technology field with a local government focus for over 20 years and data governance was vital back in 2000 and it continues to be now in 2024. With extraordinary tools (including AI, ML) available and constantly evolving, we need to ensure the core data and systems are ready to support these enhanced capabilities. What do you think about the importance of data governance? How do you see its role in an organization, as part of an overall technology strategy, or as part of an organization's effort to leverage AI capabilities?
