Nature's design vs. human intervention. A woman's milk production is triggered by childbirth, a natural process. But for dairy animals, milk production is induced through artificial insemination, a human-made process. And let's not forget, every meat or animal product comes from an animal that was raised and killed for our consumption. Food for thought: is our appetite worth the cost? #foodforthought #animalconservation #sustainability #animalrights #saveanimals #govegan

Healthy Animals, Healthy Food, Healthy World: Innovation "Did you know that animal health is directly connected to a healthy food supply and a healthy planet?" "Studies show that 75% of emerging infectious diseases in humans have an animal origin. What does this tell us about global health?" "The way we care for animals impacts everything." Vetecom's Seed to Fork program recognizes the profound link between animal health, sustainable agriculture, and the safety of our food supply. Healthy animals require fewer resources, minimize environmental impact, and are less susceptible to diseases that can threaten human health. To achieve this, we've harnessed the power of cutting-edge technologies like global animal data tracking, genomic and biomonitoring, and advanced hybrid data analytics. This allows us to track animal well-being and health breeding anyware in the world, identify potential disease outbreaks early, and optimize farming practices for both efficiency and ethical standards. The impact is undeniable: healthier livestock, reduced environmental strain, and a safer, more transparent food system for all. "Discover the future of food production with Seed to Fork. 🌍 Exploring the Hidden Ecologies of Food Waste in the Meat Sector 🌱 While the environmental impacts of using animal meat as a protein source are well-documented, there’s a lesser-known but equally critical issue at play: the biomass created from food waste in the meat industry (A staggering 65% loss of biomass, from farm to plate, and to the bin). Based on regional solid waste disposal regimes, this overlooked aspect is shaping new and complex ecologies, with significant implications for human, animal, and environmental health. These intricate and often misunderstood interactions are at the heart of the ONE HEALTH on ONE PLANET approach, emphasizing the interconnectedness of all life forms. Understanding these dynamics is crucial for fostering a sustainable future. Stay tuned as we delve deeper into these fascinating and vital topics! 🌿 the research of THINKPAWS (www.thinkpaws.org), in association with Department of Biology, University of Oxford Ambedkar University Delhi Wildlife Institute of India et al. ✨The video likely illustrates the staggering number of animals an average person consumes annually. ✨It highlights the impact of meat consumption on animal populations, emphasizing that millions of chickens, pigs, cows, and fish are slaughtered each year to satisfy human diets. ✨This visual representation aims to raise awareness about the scale of animal farming and its ethical, environmental, and health implications. ✨The video may encourage viewers to reconsider their dietary choices, potentially advocating for reduced meat consumption, plant-based alternatives, or a shift towards more sustainable and humane food practices.

Did you know? 1. Around the clock every 10 minutes, 1,3 million land-living farm animals are killed for food. In total, that's 70 billion land-living farm animals yearly. Every 24 hours, that's around 192 million animals. To put that huge number in perspective, the entire human population (8,1 billion) would be wiped out of existence in 42 days with the same rate. 2. Every year, it's estimated that 100 million animals, birds, fish, and mammals are killed by plastic pollution. The reason it is an estimate is because it's only the animals found that are counted, and the number is believed to be higher. 3. Between 55-66% of global antibiotics are given to animals in agriculture due to their poor living condition and giving humans, consuming meat, dairy, etc, a residence towards antibiotics. Based on the above facts, I would strongly agree with the penguin 🐧, would you? By accelerating the improvement of global animal protection, we can accelerate the healing of our home. Technology is Enabling Improved Sustainability for Dairy & Beef farmers, a trend that must be accelerated if we want to ensure the growing demand for beef & dairy protein is met, while protecting the environment. On the 13th of May, Ludgate Hub invited me to present at their EcoTech 2024 seminar. Moonsyst International are enabling this across the 3 pillars of sustainability by: 1. Improved Animal Health (Social) 2. Strong Business Case for farmers (Economic) 3. Improved efficiencies and GHG monitoring (Environment) The demand for high quality beef & dairy protein is expected to double in the next 25 years, which regions are best equipped to services this demand sustainably? I'd be interested in peoples comments ✍ #SustainableFarming #DairyInnovation #EnvironmentalImpact
