Social entrepreneur Co-founder and CEO, Money Sweetspot

I appear in quite a few videos, but none as vulnerable as this. But it's important. Two years on from our capital raise is Money Sweetspot still needed, wanted or relevant? I was in the office late last night and pressed record. You'll see that I nearly pressed stop a few times, and perhaps you'll know why. I'm not sure who I was talking to. Perhaps it's you? It’s two minutes long so doesn’t fit the marketing dopamine hit button. But if you take the time to listen you’ll hear why we are needed, now more than ever. I remind myself regularly that the Sasha of 2019 will be STOKED that Money Sweetspot exists, when many thought she was crazy. Luckily my co-founder Meurig Chapman wasn't one of them. *Clarifying point from the video: Being able to help 6% is mainly because people are unable to afford the debt they already have so we're not the right place. That's why it's important to support and fund budgeting services and community support. #realtalk #founderwellbeing #socialenterprise #financialreset #financialwellness Edmund Hillary Fellowship (EHF)

Two years on…. Has Sweetspot done its time?

I love the video. Thank you for being so raw. It is hard to be the voice and the advocate. It can feel overwhelming to count the number of people who need help and can not find it. Yet 6% is amazing. Ask any one of those 6% and they will tell you that it is all worth it. “Nothing in the world is worth having or worth doing unless it means effort, pain, difficulty… I have never in my life envied a human being who led an easy life. I have envied a great many people who led difficult lives and led them well.” ~Roosevelt "Good ideas are always crazy - until they are not!" Sending all my love and support. You, Rig and the whole team are rocking this. 💚

The good you've been able to do for 'the few' is within your control. The ones you can't reach is not. I do wish I was over there at times, Sasha, making this a 'middle' campaign issue that can't be ignored is absolutely the way forward. More power to you 💪

From a dream to reality, you’re the driving force to provide a real difference for people. 6% of applicants is nothing to scoff at. Enabling affordability and offering free financial learning opportunities is not bumfluff, it’s life-changing stuff. I am so proud to have been part of Money Sweetpot, and making a positive impact x

Sasha, you and Meurig and the whole Money Sweetspot team are inspirational. The fight is hard, there will be many more days when you will want to press pause or stop altogether, but the work you all do makes a dramatic difference. The families you help to reset their relationship with money and debt on one hand, while on the other, other financial service providers who are being shown and reminded that lending can be done differently.

Sasha - I totally get it when you say "it's hard". Your work is really hard. But the lives of those you touch need you, Meurig and Money Sweetspot. Please keep up the energy and belief in the difference you make. J

Oh my goodness my friend, I feel your growing pains! You have achieved so much - For all the people you have helped so far with financial re-sets, for all the people you have connected with information and other services, and through all of your lobbying, influencing and inspiration (and of course through the charitable giving you have built into the Money Sweetspot model). You are a national treasure x.

You do important mahi Sasha! Your HOPE for 6% which is more than 0% if you didn’t exist. So much more help is needed but you are no longer a dream, your service exists and can grow… that’s so important

It is amazing and you are amazing. Great mahi in tough times.
