Use digital signage content to kick off the festive season! This time of year, there are hundreds (if not thousands) of businesses all fighting for people’s attention. Here are some content ideas to get your customers to notice your business this festive season: ✨ Countdown to Christmas: Build anticipation with a live countdown, reminding customers of shopping days left or counting down to a special event. ✨ Seasonal Greetings & Graphics: Create vibrant animations showing winter scenes (e.g. sledging, snow, Santa, gifts unwrapping, roaring fires) alongside marketing information to make your promotions stand out. ✨ Screen synchronisation: If you have more than one digital display situated together (e.g. like menu boards), you can create a single piece of festive animation which is shown across multiple screens at once. This creates the impression of a much bigger display and is very eye-catching. ✨ Gift suggestions: Highlight present suggestions (e.g. gift sets or gift cards) and who might appreciate them most (e.g. gift ideas for dad). Check out our newest animation for the Odeon team to promote their Christmas gift cards! 👇 ✨ Reviews: Use your displays to show positive customer reviews for a specific product or service to encourage customers to purchase it as a gift or for themselves. Embrace the power of digital signage to create a dynamic, engaging, festive atmosphere that keeps customers coming back for more! 🎄 #HolidayMarketing #InteractiveContent #MarketingIdeas

Let's turn your digital signage into the life of the party for Easter and every festive shindig thereafter! 🐰 Here’s how to make sure your digital signs are more eye-catching than a chocolate bunny in a candy shop: 🍭 👉 Seasonal Themes with a Twist: Go beyond the same old pastel Easter eggs. Why not have a guinea-pig "bunny" 🐹 or a countdown that's as suspenseful as waiting for the last chocolate egg to be found? 👉 Frequent Refreshes: Change your content like you change your socks – hopefully, often! Keep things as fresh as spring flowers to keep your audience guessing what's next. 👉 Audience Participation Trophy: Get your audience in on the action with their own seasonal selfies or stories. Nothing says "community" like seeing your face on a giant screen next to a dancing Easter egg. 👉 Visibility is Key: Your message should be as clear and bold as your Aunt Linda’s holiday sweaters. Think big fonts and colors that pop. 👉 Plan like a Procrastinator: Schedule your content like you're counting down to a holiday, not like you're cramming for a final exam. And throw in calls to action that are as compelling as the last slice of pie at Thanksgiving. Inject your seasonal signage with a dose of humor, strategy, and a touch of whimsy to not just capture attention, but delight and engage your audience. By keeping an eye on what works and tweaking what doesn’t, your digital signage will be more memorable than finding an Easter egg three months late! 🐰🎉 #HappyEaster #Easter #ContentCreation #ContentCreationTips #ContentDesign #DesignTips

I love this Christmas ad from Sainsbury's of the UK, from 2014. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the start of World War 1, Sainsbury’s created this very high-production “Christmas is for Sharing,” set in the context of the 1914 Christmas Truce during World War I. This ad, commemorating the centenary of the truce, beautifully captures the spirit of humanity, peace, and shared moments. 🕊️ Why This Ad Resonates: Historical Significance: By revisiting a poignant moment in history, the ad connects deeply with our collective memory and emotions. Universal Message: The theme of enemies finding common ground and sharing a moment of peace is a powerful narrative that transcends time and geography. Brand Connection: Sainsbury’s subtly integrates its brand into the narrative, aligning its values with peace, unity, and the joy of sharing – key tenets of the holiday spirit. 🔍 Marketing Insights: Leveraging History: Using historical events can create a strong emotional connection, but it requires a delicate balance to remain respectful and relevant. Emotional Storytelling: Xmas Ads that tell a story and evoke emotions can have a lasting impact and elevate brand perception. Purpose Beyond Product: This ad emphasizes the brand’s values and commitment to community and togetherness, which can be more impactful than focusing on products alone. Come see our 15 best Christmas ads of all time: https://lnkd.in/gpxyP6qu Christmas is a great time to drive home the connection between consumers and the brand. Get your consumer into an emotional state; hopefully, those emotions will pay back to your brand. But not everyone can pull it off. You likely need to have an established love for your brand already, or it would come across as lacking authenticity. If you want to get into the holiday spirit, here are the best Christmas ads I have seen from all over the world. We include ads from the UK, Ireland, Australia, Poland, Spain, France, Canada and the US. What do you think are the best Xmas ads? Feel free to add your favorite Christmas ads to our mix.

Storytelling's my favorite instructional strategy. It's so effective when learners can see & feel themselves in the story - as either the hero or the (perceived) adversary. And people remember stories long after the learning program concludes. Some of my takeaways from this beautiful mini-story are the reminders: ** to go beyond first impressions ** we're usually only afraid of that which we don't know personally... What's YOUR favorite takeaway? Thanks for sharing Tom Wanek #Storytelling #LeadershipDevelopment

Disney’s 2024 Christmas ad isn’t just an ad It’s pure magic. Every year, brands compete for our hearts with holiday ads. But this one? Disney’s “The Boy & The Octopus” Christmas ad for 2024 is in a league of its own. Here’s why it’s a storytelling masterpiece: 1️⃣ Emotion Over Product This ad isn’t selling merch—it’s selling magic. The story revolves around the warmth of family, nostalgia, and the wonder of childhood. One standout moment? A child handing over a cherished ornament to their sibling, perfectly capturing the bittersweetness of growing up. 2️⃣ Universal Themes From the excitement of decorating for Christmas to the quiet reflections on the passage of time, it taps into emotions we all share. No matter who you are or where you are, it resonates. 3️⃣ Perfectly Paced Storytelling From the very first frame, you’re drawn into the world they’ve created. The stunning visuals, the carefully chosen music, and the little heartfelt moments all build to an ending that tugs at your heartstrings. 🎁 Takeaway for Marketers: ↳ Great storytelling isn’t about showing your product—it’s about making people feel something. ↳ Your brand’s values, emotions, and aspirations should shine brighter than your logo. ↳ The best ads don’t sell—they connect. Disney reminds us that the magic of marketing isn’t in the details—it’s in the feeling. 💬 What’s your favorite holiday ad of all time? ♻️ Share this with your team to bring some storytelling magic to your next campaign! ✅ Follow Tom Wanek for weekly insights into creative campaigns and bold branding.

I’d like to share something that has both surprised and excited me: Coca-Cola’s new Christmas ad. This year, the company has taken an unexpected turn by developing it with artificial intelligence. When I learned about it, I couldn’t help but reflect on how brands are finding new ways to connect with us, blending tradition and innovation. The ad is inspired by the classic "Holidays Are Coming" campaign from 1995, which many of us probably remember fondly. Who doesn’t associate those iconic red trucks, glowing with lights, driving through snowy landscapes with the arrival of Christmas? However, this time, Coca-Cola used advanced technological tools to recreate those iconic moments with a modern touch adapted to our digital age. What strikes me the most is how the brand has managed to balance nostalgia with technology. On one hand, there’s a nod to memories from past generations, and on the other, there’s innovation that reflects where we’re heading as a society. However, not everything has been positive: some people have pointed out that, being created with artificial intelligence, the ad loses a bit of the human touch that has always characterized Coca-Cola’s Christmas campaigns. Personally, I think this move by Coca-Cola raises an important question about the future of creativity. To what extent can technology complement—or even replace—human work in something as emotional as advertising? It’s undoubtedly a topic that invites reflection. I’d love to hear your thoughts: What do you think about the use of artificial intelligence in ads like this? Do you see it as a step forward for brands, or could it take us further away from what truly connects us?
