The matches of the 9th T20 World Cup are being held in America and West Indies, the preliminary phase of which is nearing its end. 20 countries participated in this World Cup, USA, Canada and Uganda have become a part of T20 World Cup for the first time. The teams were divided into four groups. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Sprite stage.
At the time of writing, most of the teams going into Sprite have been decided. Group A includes Pakistan and India, as well as the teams of USA, Canada and Ireland. The American players looked confident even in difficult pitches and pressure situations. India lead their group after winning the first three matches and have come into the Sprite.
Group B includes Australia, Great Britain, Scotland, Namibia and Oman. Australia have qualified on the spree of winning the first three matches. Great Britain can brighten their chances for the next round by defeating Namibia. Because Scotland will have to beat a strong team like Australia to qualify.
