Text Leads to 21002: Question of the Week: What Prewar Car Would You Drive Daily Today?—WINNER’S UPDATE: WINNER’S ANNOUNCEMENT: Happy Tuesday everyone! We’re back to announce the winner for our Question of the Week. Today our victor will take home the spoils, which in this case means a $25 credit for a hat or T-shirt from the BaT Gear Store. Our question was: what prewar car would you drive daily today? A great response from the BaT community! After reading the 100-plus comment thread, we noticed an assortment of guiding principles—from practical points to aesthetic reasons—that brought out cars (and trucks) that would’ve otherwise been left mothballed for this thought experiment. We certainly appreciate it! In the end, this is a competition, and we must announce a winner. The Cord 812 was the most-mentioned pick this week, and the winning comment came from BaT member LITS2DBC! "If I were an undertaker, the 1937 Cord 812S Sportsman would be my obvious vehicle of choice. (It's a car to die for.) ;)" 1 LITS2DBC commented on Question of the Week: What Prewar Car Would You Drive Daily Today?—WINNER’S UPDATE http://dlvr.it/TF7BB2 Bringatrailer.com

⚽ Data is becoming increasingly important in football But TransferRoom is not a data provider. We are a transfer marketplace. However, we still want to enable club decision makers on our platform to make quick decisions on a player's relevance to them - to the benefit of all actors on our marketplace. That is why the partnership with PFF FC makes so much sense! The team at PFF FC are experts on the data side of things; with years of experience from being the #1 data provider to the NFL, but now with a strong team dedicated to (real) football. Specifically, physical data has been one of the most requested additions to our platform from our users in recent years. The primary reason being that it's transferable across league and country. While your passing accuracy might plummet in a better league, when going up against better opposition, your top speed should remain unchanged - making it possible to subjectively evaluate players based on their data. We look forward to the collaboration and send a big thanks to Nate Gerstle, Alexander Schram, James Clarke-Reed and the rest of the team for making this possible!
You’ve asked for physical performance data on TransferRoom, and here it is 👇 We’re excited to launch our partnership with PFF FC 🤝 The essential partner to the world’s highest-performing sports organisations, PFF FC will bring game-changing physical performance data to TransferRoom. 📈 Clubs, agents and players now get access to Max Speed and Distance Covered for players. "This collaboration provides hundreds of clubs, agents and players with vital physical data." Nate Gerstle, PFF FC CEO "With physical data, you now have a more complete picture and the ability to make better decisions on transfers.” Jonas Ankersen, TransferRoom CEO ✍️ Find out more: https://hubs.ly/Q02Jl-Xn0. #SportsBiz #TransferRoom #Football #FootballData

Another poll wraps up. Almost 50% of dealers believe advertised discounts are the best path to moving inventory. I tend to feel that the spiffs can be effective, but only once the customer is in the door or on the line. The advertised discounts tend to grab the customer's attention. I don't plan to go away from offering spiffs to the team, but I will keep them very targeted. If you would like to read the original post (there is some solid commentary) then click on through... https://lnkd.in/eyC7XDax Do you have any thoughts to add. Brilliant! The difference between information and insight! The insight to information ratio has possibly gone invisible as online information and misinformation continues to grow exponentially. It's not access to information that we need but access to honest scientific analysis and insight. Not a gambler, but thanks for business insight Joe.
Jim McIngvale (aka Mattress Mack) is famous for winning $100 million in sports bets. But he's not really betting on games. Instead, it's a unique marketing strategy that acts as a hedge to help him drive hundreds of millions of dollars in sales for his furniture business. Here's how it works👇 #sports #sportsbiz #linkedinsports
