The #AfricanYouth is a group that has consistently defied stereotypes and proven its capability to shape the future. Far from being lazy, young Africans have shown remarkable drive, creating solutions that impact not only their communities but the world at large. Consider Paul Kagame, who, at a young age, took on the monumental task of leading Rwanda's post-genocide recovery, transforming the nation into a beacon of stability and growth. Entrepreneurs like Aliko #Dangote, who began his business journey in his early 20s, and Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, who co-founded Andela and Flutterwave in his 20s, are clear examples of Africa's youth leading from the front. Icons like #NelsonMandela and #ChinuaAchebe began their journeys as young visionaries, setting the stage for future generations. This legacy continues with a new wave of young entrepreneurs, tech innovators, and change-makers across the continent, leveraging technology, creativity, and resilience to drive Africa forward. Our youth are not just participants in the global narrative—they are pioneers, shaping industries and creating solutions that resonate globally. As we reflect on this strength, it is imperative that we, as a society, provide them with the resources, mentorship, and opportunities they need to continue breaking boundaries and setting new standards of excellence. Investing in our young people is not just a moral obligation but a strategic move towards a brighter, more prosperous #Africa. #OluseunOnasoga #InternationalYouthDay #YouthEmpowerment

Our dreams and abilities are heavily influenced by the experiences and exposures we've had. 🏌️ Here's a question: How many of your friends are good at playing golf? If you asked me, my answer would be zero. Why? Because there isn't a single golf course in my district, not even in the entire province. Let's leave golf aside and talk about business and innovation. 🌟 Our dreams are proportionate to the experiences and exposures we've had. This 50-second video by Alex Ntale speaks volumes to me. 🏡 I was born and raised in a district next to Nyagatare. 🕒 If you add up all the time I've spent in Nyagatare, it’s roughly 8 years. I spent half of my high school and college years there and worked in the district for almost a year. 📚 So, I know a thing or two about this largest district in Rwanda. 🤝 While I was there, I often interacted with ambitious talents and innovative individuals. Of course, in my spare time, I would simply sit and chug real milk 🥛 💬 From my experience, I can definitely support the saying Ntale mentioned in the video: "𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁." 🚀 If we want to embrace innovation, creativity, diversity, and other vital elements to stimulate growth, then we must decentralize opportunities, especially for young people. I am truly moved by the #Hanga initiative that enables young people to build innovative solutions. 💡 Let's keep supporting talent by providing access to enabling infrastructures and exposing them to learning and acceleration programs. Can't wait to see more innovative entrepreneurs emerging from my home province. 👏 I proudly appreciate the people behind brilliant youth-focused initiatives like Hanga PitchFest, Ingazi, and #YouthConnekt. 📹 VC: Alex Ntale, CEO of Rwanda ICT Chamber #BusinessInRwanda

Imagine if we involve our diaspora community as #tradefacilitators..... I have followed the work of some of our heavy weights like Dr. Martin Russell Almaz Negash Travis Adkins Fanny TITTEL MOSSER PhD Fridah Ntarangwi - Kimathi on #diasporacommunityengagement. Planetarium Institute did a literature review to understand the role of diaspora community in trade facilitation: here are some of the thoughts on how to effectively engage the diaspora community in #tradefacilitation: 1. Establish a diaspora engagement #platform: create a dedicated online platform for diaspora members to connect, share ideas, and access resources. 2. Map diaspora skills and expertise: identify the skills, expertise, and interests of diaspora members to #match them with trade facilitation opportunities. 3. Provide #tradeinformation and training: offer webinars, workshops, and online courses to educate diaspora members on trade procedures, regulations, and opportunities. 4. Facilitate #businessnetworking: organize events, conferences, and trade missions to connect diaspora #entrepreneurs with businesses in their country of origin. 5. Support diaspora-led businesses: offer #mentorship, #funding, and other resources to support diaspora-led businesses in accessing #newmarkets. 6. Encourage #remittances and #investments: promote the use of formal remittance channels and encourage diaspora members to invest in their country of origin. 7. Foster #partnerships with #diasporaorganizations: collaborate with diaspora associations, chambers of commerce, and other organizations to amplify engagement efforts. 8. Develop diaspora-focused #tradepolicies: incorporate diaspora perspectives into trade policy development to ensure their needs and concerns are addressed. 9. Leverage technology and social media: utilize digital channels to reach and engage with the diaspora community, share information, and facilitate connections. 10. Monitor and evaluate engagement efforts: track the effectiveness of diaspora engagement initiatives and make data-driven decisions to improve them. By implementing these strategies, governments and organizations can effectively engage the diaspora community in trade facilitation, promoting economic development and cooperation between countries. A great morning spent with Nchimunya Chipo Hamukoma, Ercília Mata Ubisse, Tendai Angeline Mugabe at ANDE Southern Africa's State of the Small & Growing Businesses (SGB) Sector event where they shared their latest research findings on the local entrepreneurial ecosystem. ⭐ Key findings:⭐ ➡ There are at least 197 active funding sources that offer financing to South African entrepreneurs, including those in the SGB range (USD $20,000 – $2 million). ➡ The funding landscape is dominated by local players, and many are looking beyond Cape Town and Johannesburg (Durbs, Stellies and P-Town are up-and-coming hubs) ➡ Support for youth, township, and women entrepreneurs continues to grow. ➡ The number of capacity development providers in the country is sufficient, but there is room for quality improvement. ➡ Advancements in technology are opening new pathways for competitiveness. ✴ Access the report here: https://lnkd.in/dz22kRHt P.S. Kudo's to Chipo and her top-notch quiz skills! 🏆 #ANDE #smallbusiness #fundingnews #report
