We are exhibiting CARL 1 & 2 at ILA Berlin 2024 🚀🔥 The Competing Aachen Rocket Launcher was Space Team Aachen’s first experience with high-power rocketry. CARL flew at the very first edition of the European Rocketry Challenge in 2020 and the Space Team Aachen was one of only three teams that managed to successfully launch their rocket and one of two that managed to recover their rocket entirely. CARL 2 was the follow-up project to STA’s first competition rocket. Its design was based on CARL’s and was successfully launched at the EuRoC in 2021 and flew to an apogee of roughly 2.9km, but its main parachute sadly failed, resulting in a rupture of the body tubes. Nevertheless, all flight data was recovered and CARL 2’s launch remains one for STA’s history books If you haven’t been able to see CARL 1 & 2 in our previous events or want to learn more about our team and projects, you can meet us at ILA Berlin - Pioneering Aerospace, which takes place from June 5th to 9th. We can be proud to to have such two companies at the utmost cutting edge of technology in Bavaria. And we can also be proud as Europeans to have a vibrant new space industry throughout Europe with some many exciting projects. Not totally unbiased naming Kurs Orbital as example :) The politics MUST understand this is a one time chance. If we don't provide the right kind of soil with the right kind of nutrients for this emerging ecosystem we will fall behind the US, China & other ambitious space nations for decades, maybe w/o chance of ever catching up again.
