Creating inclusive classrooms is key to supporting every student. WiggleRoom pods are designed to help neurodivergent students by providing quiet, controlled spaces to refocus and recharge. Key features include: 💡Sound-absorbing panels and self-closing doors reduce noise by 30 decibels. 💡 User-controlled lighting systems allow individuals to dim the light and set the light temperature according to their preference. 💡 Solid walls can be outfitted with PET felt material for enhanced acoustic absorption. 💡 Optional occupancy lights indicate whether a pod is in use, reducing the risk of unintended interactions. Learn how to transform your education spaces with WiggleRoom pods at https://lnkd.in/gwvXWnsF.

Empowering the Individual: Wayfinding and Engaging Graphics At Xperiencemakers, we believe that a well-designed learning environment empowers students to navigate their surroundings with confidence and focus on what matters most - learning. That's why we incorporated engaging graphics and clear wayfinding throughout Rallim Pre I Prep I Secondary School. The use of bold colours and playful patterns in the signage and murals creates a stimulating and engaging atmosphere. The clear and concise wayfinding system helps students easily orient themselves and find their way around the school. This reduces stress and anxiety, allowing students to focus on their studies and enjoy the learning process. We believe that a well-designed school can have a significant impact on student well-being and academic success. By creating a welcoming and engaging environment, we can help students feel more confident and empowered to reach their full potential. Our upcoming Masterclass in collaboration with Sensory Intelligence® Consulting will explore these themes further. Unlocking the Hidden Potential of Learning Spaces🌟🏫 Most people don’t realize how much potential spaces hold. A well-designed space can greatly influence how its primary users interact, engage, and thrive. Schools, in particular, need environments that inspire and support learning in the best way possible. At Education Design International (EDI), we believe that learning spaces are not just physical locations but catalysts for transformation. When designed thoughtfully, these spaces can significantly enhance educational experiences, fostering creativity, collaboration, and well-being among children. This is why schools need designers who understand how learning happens. Our team at EDI specializes in optimizing educational spaces to maximize learning outcomes. Our mission is to transform traditional learning environments into dynamic ecosystems that support holistic development and lifelong learning. By understanding and harnessing the hidden potential of spaces, we aim to create schools where every child can flourish. Join us in reimagining educational spaces and unlocking the full potential of learning environments! #EducationDesign #LearningSpaces #SchoolDesign #HolisticEducation #EDI

To build effective discussion skills in students, Edutopia suggests using structured protocols such as the "Save the Last Word for Me" and "Final Word" to encourage active listening, critical thinking, and equitable participation. These protocols help students articulate their thoughts, engage with peers' ideas, and develop confidence in sharing their perspectives. Implementing these strategies fosters a collaborative classroom environment where students learn to value diverse opinions and engage in meaningful discussions. https://lnkd.in/ggHqkba4 #ClassroomDiscussions #StudentEngagement #TeachingStrategies - #edutopia

🎉 2024: What a Year! At Diversify by Design (D×D), we’ve spent the year breaking barriers, creating opportunities, and shaping a more equitable design industry. Here’s a snapshot of what we accomplished: 🌟 Empowering Education: The AIGA Design Worldstudio Scholarship Program found its new home with D×D, helping more historically excluded designers access the education they deserve. 🎨 Inspiring the Next Generation: From Amazon workshops with Culver City High School students to co-creating a transformative 3-day program with Intuit and Cedar Hill ISD, to our Design= Curriculum Kit, we’re showing students that creative careers are within reach. ✨ Celebrating Mentorship: Through stories like Keyarow Mosley’s, we’ve spotlighted the resilience and brilliance of underrepresented designers, while showcasing the power of mentorship to break barriers. 💡 Welcoming Visionary Leadership: Belinda Moreira, a first-gen Latina and transformative educator, has joined the D×D family, alongside the game-changing perspectives of our new Advisory Council members Anosh Gill, Nagela Dales, and Antionette Carroll, M.A. D. Carroll. Together, they’re dismantling barriers, building pathways, and reimagining the design world’s future. 💬 These milestones are just the beginning. Join us in reflecting on a year of growth and impact: https://bit.ly/4aewcIN #DesignForChange #EquityInDesign #YearInReview
