Basis for What You Give We are still celebrating Thirty Days of Thanksgiving. If you base what you give (or how you serve) on who or how much appreciation or likes you will receive, you will be chasing people's appetites for the rest of your life. A person can do a good deed and hand out turkeys on Thanksgiving. Some people will take the turkey, consume it, and show no appreciation at all. Other people will take it, show gratitude, and consume it later. Some people's plates may already be full at home and don't need the turkey. Some are vegetarians, vegans, or just don't like the taste of turkey. Turkey does not coincide with their diet, and no matter how you prepare it, it will not be appetizing to them. Just because what you give does not meet everyone's needs or wants does not mean you stop doing good deeds and exercising generosity. When you can, share the good given to you, and try to help and bring joy, blessings, and perspective into others' lives. Your actions may be impactful for some, ignored by others, and outright rejected by a few, but don’t let that stop you. If you set out to help a community but only see that you helped one family, you still made a positive impact. Be thankful that one family is grateful for your efforts. Think about it. Have a thankful and terrific Tuesday. Thirty Days of Thanksgiving

What’s your favorite Thanksgiving tradition? Today, we’re celebrating Thanksgiving Day—a time for gratitude, family, and, of course, feasting! 🦃🍁 Thanksgiving has a rich history that goes beyond the Pilgrims and turkey. From the first harvest celebration in 1621 to Lincoln making it a national holiday during the Civil War, this day has become one of America’s most cherished holidays. And let’s not forget the modern traditions: football, parades, and a little stretchy pants action after dinner! Fun Facts: • The first Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade didn’t feature balloons—it started in the 1920s with live animals from the Central Park Zoo. • Americans prepare about 46 million turkeys for Thanksgiving each year! • The average number of calories consumed during the festivities? A whopping 4,500. • Four towns in the U.S. are named “Turkey.” • Breaking the wishbone is a centuries-old tradition that brings extra luck.
