Every once in a while, you come across an idea that actually saves lives. It's so much more satisfying when one of those, comes to life. Bike Taxis (or Bodas as they're known in Kenya) are ubiquitous on her streets. While they serve as public transport, their riders are often seen as a social menace who trigger mob-justice and violence. #FirstBoda enables them to offer emergency medical assistance, which is often delayed due to traffic causing an increased rate of road fatalities. Not only does #FirstBoda help save valuable lives, it also paves the way for the boda riders to be seen as good Samaritans that most of them really are.
