With a heavy heart, I share the passing of KH, as he likes to be known. To me, KH was more than just an advisor and investor—he was a mentor, a confidant, and a friend.
KH often described himself as a serial entrepreneur, business builder, and transformer; he truly embodied these roles. In our private conversations, often over drinks, meals, or on the phone, KH shared wisdom beyond the typical advice an investor or advisor would offer. He spoke with deep empathy, understanding the unique challenges and difficulties we as entrepreneurs face—struggles that we often cannot openly share with business associates, investors, or employees.
KH was a rare exception in the business world—savvy and knowledgeable about the workings of the tech industries, educated in Western business administration, yet deeply rooted in Chinese values and culture in business execution. This unique blend made his insights invaluable, and his approach to business was innovative and grounded.
He understood the weight of dealing with fundraising, the frustration of handling unhappy customers, and the complexities of navigating cunning business partners. These weren’t just stories but lessons that profoundly impacted me and how I approach the journey of building Heron AirBridge.
What stood out most was KH’s unwavering belief in me and my vision. He didn’t just invest in our company—he joined me on this journey to create a Singapore success story. Despite having built his businesses primarily outside of Singapore over a remarkable 40-year period, KH was committed to helping me achieve something truly special here. He understood the challenges of building a global tech company in Singapore, especially given our small market and a history of risk aversion in investing in local tech.
KH’s advice was invaluable, and his passion for our shared dream was inspiring. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy lives on. I am committed to fulfilling the dream we both envisioned: creating a tech success story rooted in Singapore.

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Mr. Lim Kia Hong (KH), our esteemed Chairman of the Advisory Board at Heron AirBridge.
KH was more than just an advisor; he was our first private investor who saw the potential in our vision when we were starting out. His unwavering belief in our mission gave us the confidence and resources to pursue our goals. Beyond his financial investment, KH generously offered his time, wisdom, and mentorship, guiding us through the complexities of building a business from the ground up.
KH passed away while doing what he loved—visiting and meeting with tech companies and investors in the US. His passion for innovation and growth was evident in everything he did, and his contributions to our company were immeasurable. His impact will be felt for many years to come.
We honour KH’s memory by dedicating ourselves to the shared vision he passionately believed in, striving for success in his name. We are deeply grateful for the time we had with him, and we will continue to carry forward the legacy he helped to build.
