The National Retail Federation and Prosper Insights & Analytics estimate that the average consumer will spend $103.63 on costumes, candy, and other items for Halloween in 2024, down from $108.24 last year. Halloween spending is expected to total $11.6 billion this year, down from a record $12.2 billion in 2023. Spending on costumes, decorations, and candy is expected to reach $3.8 billion, $3.8 billion, and $3.5 billion, respectively.

I Love Apples, But Do Not Sell Me OK, You Can Sell Me You might be confused, right? Let me give you a simple example. Imagine you are sitting in a car, waiting for the traffic light to turn green. During that time, an apple vendor approaches (let’s call him the "apple man"). He knocks on your window repeatedly, trying to force you to buy his apples. Frustrated, you roll down the window and say, "NO, I DO NOT WANT IT." But as soon as the light turns green, you drive off to meet your friends at a restaurant. Everyone is deciding what to order, and suddenly, you feel like having a fruit salad, mostly filled with apples. So, you order that. Do you get the point? When someone tries to sell you something forcefully and in a desperate manner, you're less likely to buy their product or service. However, if you have a strong brand presence, people will come to you naturally.
