𝐂𝐒𝐃𝐈’𝐬 𝐞-𝐊𝐘𝐂 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 The Securities and Exchange Organization (SEO) has mandated the use of Central Securities Depository of Iran’s (CSDI) e-KYC system for all investment funds, their managers, and investors. Starting 21 December 2024, investors must register in the Comprehensive Information Gathering System (CIGS), CSDI’s e-KYC platform, to electronically apply for subscriptions or redemptions of mutual fund assets. Fund managers must also be registered in CIGS by 29 October 2024 to initiate the creation or redemption of Funds. This regulation aims to streamline the investor experience and ensure compliance. Non-compliance could lead to restrictions on investment fund activities and other capital market services. Once registered in CIGS, investors will no longer need to repeatedly submit contact details, identification documents, or bank account information when switching brokers or funds. Developed entirely by CSDI, the CIGS system simplifies the Know Your Customer (KYC) process for capital market participants, enhancing efficiency and creating a more seamless experience for all. #CSDI #eKYC #CapitalMarkets #IranCapitalMarket #InvestorServices
