PRESIDENTIAL CONGRESSIONAL JUDICIAL VETTING – PART 9 #alcoholism does NOT run within my bloodline to my knowledge – confirmed by both parents – in person - standing before us - under oath – upon direct inquiry by myself and fiancé in 1994. With drugs - #lawenforcement IS the #designateddriver of #drugtrade investigations of #storageunits #medicationtheft and shared #prescriptions I NOW count, bag and tag differing dosages OF OTHERS - FOR OTHERS to detect #illegalentry and #medicationtheft into car and home. No medication to worry about now....I prefer to see common sense with #policereport wording regarding #mentalillness in families - especially UNRELATED blood relatives and #seniorcitizens such as #narcolepsy. SHARING LARGE SUITE WITH SOMEONE OUT OF SIGHT + SAFE ITEMS MISSING (RX + YOUR OWN PLAYERS REWARDS CARD TO PROVE LOCATION) = LEAVE IMMEDIATELY. Working in support of #HCM organizations, related alliances and investigations - for decades - for free - I suspected modicum of #presidential or congressional underwriting segment concern. Never underestimate it #endofdays thought processes = #purge by #proxyabuse . Unknown number are #gaming with #addictions doing this very thing. Always remain outside of #conflictofinterest, fully-vetted - with non-criminal background - as much as possible - WITHIN #lawsoftheland and #peergroup . https://lnkd.in/gFzTPEcR

Our second panel discussion of the day focuses on killing the black market, not the consumers. This session looked at how interventions such as vape licensing, as well as industry-led and supported targeted initiatives can bury the black market and help bring about a new age of compliance and accountability for the sector. It follows the announcement that powers to introduce licensing have been included in the Tobacco and Vapes Bill. Dan Marchant, co-owner of Vape Club Ltd and long-time proponent of licensing chaired the session. He delivered a keynote explaining that the recent announcement is a great step forward, but there is a long journey ahead and the government must ensure any system brought into force is fit for purpose. As Dan puts it: 'The devil is in the detail'. He made clear there are three major considerations when it comes to creating an effective licensing scheme including; generating millions in ringfenced funding to empower enforcement; ensuring meaningful consequences for those break the law; and maintaining the accessibility for adult smokers and vapers who rely on these products to stay off cigarettes. The panellists for this session were: - Mark Oliver - Business Hub Manager for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Trading Standards - Paul Cheema - Founder of C-Talk - Dawn Dines - CEO of Stamp Out Spiking - Mohammed Agrabawi - Senior Director of Corporate Affairs and Communications for ANDS Tha panellists gave their views on how stronger interventions can be used to tackle illegal sellers and combat the pressing issues of underage and illicit vape sales.

NEWS: In Tennessee, five liquor retailers have been fined more than $50,000 for shipping alcohol without a license. This court settlement follows a crackdown by the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) and the attorney general's office. As part of the settlement, these retailers must cease illegal shipments and pay penalties. Ryan Malkin spoke with BevNet about the latest decision in the TABC case: "Other states could see sting operations like Tennessee, also starting with warnings. In my opinion, the amount of the fine is not significant enough to deter other retailers who intend to violate the rules in this state or other states." Ryan has been following this case closely when the news broke in July 2023 and spoke with BevNet in the summer about how the court's decision might go. His comment then was if distilled spirits producers had the same privileges as U.S. wineries, "it would certainly help to curb some of this interstate shipping by retailers." -- Stay informed on these critical legal cases shaping the spirits industry. #LiquorLawyer #Entrepreneurship #LegalServices #Law #DrinksIndustry #Regulations

Let’s Talk Licensing Trusts and Our Community's Future! To MP Simon Court – can you name one private sector business that would step up and give $9 million back to over 300 Invercargill organisations year after year after year? I’ll wait. 🤔 Invercargill is a unique community of 59,300 people, and we’ve voted twice to keep the Invercargill Licensing Trust (ILT) because we see the value it brings to our town, even if it means opting for a local bottle shop over the supermarket. Your recent bill to abolish our licensing trust “ monopoly “ seems, frankly, out of touch. There is plenty of choice where to spend our hospitality dollar in Invercargill, be it an ILT establishment or not. West Auckland’s situation is not the same as ours, and we deserve the right to make our own decisions about what works for us, without outside interference from someone in the North Island. We already have a system for change if we want it—a petition that allows us to decide, and history has shown we’re standing by the ILT. ILT CEO Chris Ramsay rightly pointed out that this bill disregards the community’s choice and the investment in our community over the decades. Here’s why ILT matters: In the last year alone, $9.1 million has gone directly back into Invercargill, supporting over 300! local organisations, sports teams, NZ representatives, charities, art, education, UNI scholarships, and events making sure the money stays in Invercargill—not sent to corporate boards elsewhere. Let’s keep our regional town strong and let the people decide what’s best for Invercargill. We know what works for us! I support the ILT (Invercargill Licensing Trust) and Chris Ramsay
ACT MP Simon Court has lodged a new member’s bill to abolish the remaining liquor licensing trusts’ alcohol ‘monopoly’ - including the Invercargill Licensing Trust.
MP wants ILT 'monopoly' scrapped; but CEO says he's 'out of touch'
