Tort reform lobbyists are voicing strong criticism regarding the recent verdicts in cases involving NEC (necrotizing enterocolitis) baby formula. For instance, a Missouri jury recently handed down a substantial award, allocating $95 million in compensatory damages and an additional $400 million in punitive damages. Similarly, an Illinois case concluded with a $60 million verdict against the manufacturer Mead Johnson. Critics argue that large verdicts could deter manufacturers from producing specialized formulas for preterm infants—a valid concern but not a reason to avoid meritorious lawsuits. Manufacturers must warn doctors and parents about NEC risks to enable informed decisions, promoting transparency and accountability while supporting infant care innovations. #GetNewClients #TortLeadGeneration #KnowYourClients #WithPersonalityProfiling #FindLostClients

After struggling with declining sales and opioid-related lawsuits, the pharmacy chain now operates with a more streamlined store footprint, an efficient operating model, significantly reduced debt, and new financial resources. The company has closed over 520 stores since filing for Chapter 11 protection in October 2023, shrinking from 2,111 pharmacies to a leaner operation. As part of its restructuring, Rite Aid eliminated $2.0 billion in debt and secured $2.5 billion in exit financing. A Victory for Justice: Standing Strong Against Frivolous Lawsuits In a world where frivolous lawsuits seem all too common, it's inspiring to see companies stand their ground and win. The recent case of Brown v. Nano Hearing, with its double victory, sets a powerful precedent. "Companies shouldn’t be afraid to fight when they know they are right. This case not only absolves Nano Hearing of liability for telemarketing calls made by a third party but also strikes down an overly broad class definition. It’s a reminder that justice can prevail, and vicarious liability should not automatically extend to brands for the actions of lead generators.” ~ Ryan F. Zackon, CEO Nano Hearing Aids® Read more about this incredible win and the implications it has for businesses facing similar challenges. https://lnkd.in/em9M6nDB #NanoHearingAids #Nano #HearingSolutions #HearingHealth #BetterHearing

When training or auditing on "sterile compounding", where is the boundary? I've often been asked to 'only focus on aseptic technique' and maybe give a few pointers on cleaning. It's vital to recognize that issues like these also affect the health of a cleanroom suite. Every process from introducing items into the suite to where you label your CSP should be reviewed. A specialist can also spot a lot of workflow inefficiencies during a session so be sure to take advantage of the expertise.

Despite all the noise, especially here, I am of the belief that most of us are undecided, and perhaps even anxious realizing the gravity of this election. Let’s face it…best case scenario is two weeks from today at least 2 out 5 will be horribly disappointed and, undoubtedly, they’ll let you know right here. Listen to this podcast with an open mind. It speaks to both sides. Pay attention and vote! https://lnkd.in/ep_BsQ6A As the District Attorney of San Francisco from 2004 to 2011, Kamala Harris oversaw various criminal prosecutions, including those related to drug offenses. While specific numbers regarding how many individuals were imprisoned solely for marijuana use during her tenure are not readily available, her office did prosecute a range of drug-related cases. Harris has faced criticism for her record on criminal justice, particularly regarding marijuana enforcement, especially in light of her later stance on legalization and reform. It's important to note that during her time as District Attorney, there was a broader context of drug policy and enforcement that influenced how cases were handled. For a precise figure, one would need to look at specific records or reports from that time. Harris has since spoken about her evolving views on marijuana and has supported legalization efforts. Our industry, the cannabis industry, in imploding around us. Why did they have to wait until after the election when congress voted, the public comment period passed with tremendous appproval? Think about who will do things to make it better. Trump will end the wars. Kennedy will stop the health crisis Tulsi will speak to peace. Elon will me government efficient Much love to all! Get out the vote
