Wow.. very impressive development 🤖 Why Can’t a Humanoid Robot Transform into a Car? In Transformers Hollywood movie, Optimus Prime effortlessly shifts from a humanoid robot to a Porsche car. Is it just science fiction or reality: Why can’t the next generation of humanoid robots be designed to transform into a car? Calling all autobots https://lnkd.in/gaaAnAeG Imagine a future where a single piece of hardware serves multiple roles: - 🏢 In the office: It assists with complex, mental thinking, cognitively demanding tasks, helping to enhance productivity. - 🏠 At home: It takes care of physically demanding chores—cleaning dishes, cutting vegetables, or scrubbing bathrooms. - 🚗 On the road: It transforms into a vehicle for commuting, optimizing the use of hardware across different settings. The automotive industry has already recognized the inefficiency in car usage—vehicles are active for just 10% of our day-to-day activities, mostly for commuting. Currently, for effective hardware utilization, we’re focused on solutions like ride-sharing and resource-sharing among vehicles. But what if we took a different approach? What if we combined mobility and humanoid functionality into one integrated robotic hardware platform? It’s time to rethink what’s possible. Could the future of robotics and mobility lie in creating the ultimate multi-function platform?

Optimus by Tesla: The Game Changer in Humanoid Robotics. Seemingly biggest product launch ! It's truly an exciting time for technology! Elon Musk's Tesla has unveiled Optimus, and it's not just another robot; it's poised to be a game-changer in the world of humanoid robotics. For years, we've seen robotics demos that promised much but delivered little in practical utility - Optimus changes that narrative. This humanoid isn't just for show; it's designed to integrate into our daily lives, performing tasks like folding clothes, general conversational, serving drinks, doing complex tasks...... Here's a thought to chew on: In developed nations grappling with labor shortages, Optimus could be a godsend. But what about countries teeming with manpower? How would this shift the landscape where human labor is abundant? https://lnkd.in/grEJansT #Innovation #Tesla #Optimus #Robotics #FutureTech #ElonMusk

I'm both excited and cautious about the direction of humanoid robotics. Yes, the future where robots handle everyday tasks—mowing lawns, babysitting, walking dogs—seems closer. But the fact that some of these interactions were human-assisted during Tesla’s recent event shows we’re not quite there yet. As we innovate, it's crucial to balance ambition with transparency. The potential is huge, but let's not lose sight of what’s realistic today. #AI #Robotics #Innovation

Partially true. I know Elon and these Tesla bots are much more advanced than that. It's very easy to put in perimeters so the AI bots could only act/function a specific way. Why? If the AI bots were too advanced, it would have caused fear frenzy. This was the first in-person introduction, not meant to scare people, instead its meant to get people to ask for more, ask for them to be more life-like and functional, so Elon can loosen the rule-set a bit more. He's testing the waters and the Tesla team is trying its best to not be too far advanced so they don't seem like a new overlord. You have to drip feed humanity, that's just the fact. Too much speed overwhelms the general public, and we are not trying to create such a division within our species. At the very least, in previous videos, it showed that you could hire a remote operated assistant where the Tesla bot is run by an actual person instead of AI. It's a brilliant paid service and gives way to a new type of workforce.
