Day 166. These two beautiful children - babies - are still being held hostage by Hamas. 166 days is an eternity. Especially for kids as young as Ariel (4, or is he 5 now?) and Kfir (now 1). How anyone can justify taking babies and children hostage is beyond me, to say the least. These two beautiful babies have done nothing but exist and be Israeli. It is incomprehensible to me that the world isn’t rising in unison to demand they be released - along with the rest of the 134+ hostages still being held. There is and always has been a simple solution to end this war: the international community rising up together to pressure Hamas to surrender and release every single hostage. That’s it. That’s what a world that’s not upside down would and should be doing. It’s not complicated. Bring Ariel and Kfir home. Bring them all home. Demand the release of the hostages. #releasethehostages #bringthemhomenow

Remembering 9/11: A Day of Reflection and Unity Today, we pause to remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001. This day marks a significant moment in history that brought our nation together in resilience and strength. Honoring Heroes: We honor the bravery of first responders who risked their lives to save others. We remember the families affected by the tragedy and stand in solidarity with them. Community Support: In the spirit of unity, let's come together as a community to support one another. Whether through a kind word, a helping hand, or simply being there for someone in need, every gesture counts. Reflecting on Our Values: As we reflect on this day, let it remind us of the importance of compassion, love, and community. Together, we can continue to build a world grounded in hope and support. Let’s take a moment of silence today to remember and honor those we lost and to express gratitude for the heroes among us. #NeverForget #September11 #Unity #CommunityStrength

I'm incredibly proud of the work we do with Ohio Legal Help. From building the website five years ago to implementing text-to-speech for improved access to legal information this year, the website has a direct impact on people's lives at a moment when they need help. Reading through the report there was a stat that stuck out to this technologist: 70% of the visitors do so on their mobile phones. That's a lot! We've always known the mobile experience was important for this website, it truly embodies "mobile first" graphical and information design. And because the mobile experience is so important, we've done quite a bit of work ensuring that is performant. Capellic implemented enhancements earlier this year to boost the website's performance score for mobile, taking it from 75 to 95 according to Google PageSpeed Insights. Ironically, the JavaScript libraries that provide assistive technologies, including the aforementioned text-to-speech feature, pushed that score back down, but we're still passing Core Web Vitals. The last thing we want is someone in need having a difficult time operating the website due to JavaScript gumming up browser performance. And so now the next round of enhancements will seek to optimize the loading and performance of these JavaScript libraries. #Drupal #performance #continuousimprovement #accessibility #cwv #gpsi #legalhelp #mobilefirst
In 2023, we served over 772,000 Ohio families. Read through the report to learn about the impact of our work on Ohioans. https://bit.ly/3VY7Ayx
