This standard offers a much-needed common framework that enables structured growth, ensuring that farmer organizations are equipped to meet international standards and access critical markets and financing opportunities. Reflecting on this initiative, Lucas Simons, Founder of SCOPEinsight, shared, “Without a shared standard that defines our goal, scaling becomes impossible, collaboration falls short, and we are left with fragmented efforts that miss the mark. That is why we initiated the ISO process, which now defines what a professional farmer organization is. ++++ ISO TC 347 ++++ Get ready, because tomorrow it's IWA time again! 🎉 🎉🎉 The ISO Data-Driven Agrifood Systems is gearing up for its second international workshop, focused on developing a reference implementation for data-driven agrifood systems. Ahead of this pivotal event, the German delegation’s chairman, Christian Hennig, and vice-chairman, Benjamin Weinert, met at Hafven Hannover to get prepared. We worked through the many documents provided by our international chairman, R. Andres Ferreyra (huge thanks to Andres for the stellar prep!) as follow-up of the 1st workshop, we delved into the use cases gathered during this last workshop. These use cases reflect the workflows that farmers around the globe are eager to digitize, aiming to simplify their operations and, in some cases, make them possible at all. Tomorrow, we’ll be exploring diverse perspectives from stakeholders worldwide, striving to integrate these insights into a unified reference implementation in the upcoming workshops. We’re excited to exchange ideas with our global colleagues, share the German perspective, and collaborate on solutions to the complex challenges within ISO TC 347. Stay tuned!
