The Renaissance is here In this 3 min 20 sec vedio (that is playing @ 2x speed) the robot has managed to fold 3 articles of clothing and neatly stack them. what a skeptic would see is the enormous time it took. what I see a) the robot finished the task. b) it did not tear the clothes. if one were to extend the Moore's law to today technological advancements, they are growing at an exponential rate. and the cost of such technology is also diminishing at exponential rates. I have said this before and I am saying it again. Cost of technology will keep going down. Cost of human work (however mundane the task) will keep going up. 🛑 Myth Busting: Is AI and robotics taking over the world? 🤖🌍 It’s a common misconception that AI and robots are on the "verge" of gaining consciousness and taking over 💀. Yes, we've all seen the movies where robots gain consciousness and start making their own decisions, but the reality is quite different and we are still very far away from something like that happening soon. 💡 Here’s the reality: 1. AI works with the information we feed it. It can analyze data and recognize patterns, but it doesn’t truly understand or create on its own. All its "knowledge" comes from data we've inputted. 2. No independent decision-making. Robots and AI systems follow programmed instructions and learn from predefined algorithms. They don’t have personal insights or creativity—they’re executing what they’ve been designed to do. 3. Creativity and consciousness are still far off. The idea of AI or robots developing their own thoughts or making autonomous decisions like humans is still in the realm of science fiction. AI and robotics are powerful technologies that can enhance our lives and work, but they're not about to start making decisions on their own. The Future of Robotics and AI is Closer Than We Think! Tesla’s recent demo of Optimus is a bold showcase of the untapped potential of automation and artificial intelligence. What was once considered pure science fiction is now inching toward reality. In just a few years, we could have robots walking among us, taking over the redundant tasks we despise and freeing us to focus on more creative and strategic pursuits. The true power of AI lies in two key areas: Eliminating Redundancy: Imagine a future where mundane tasks are handled by intelligent systems, giving us time to innovate and create. Predictive Intelligence: As AI grows smarter, it will not only assist with today’s problems but also predict and prevent future challenges. We’re not far from a world where humanoid robots become an integral part of daily life. As once said in a famous quote, "The science fiction of yesterday, like germ theory or the atom, is the reality of today. Who’s to say the science fiction of today won’t be the reality of tomorrow?" While it remains to be seen when Optimus will be fully operational, the demo was a strong signal of how close we are to realizing this dream.
