🚨 Upcoming Employment Law Changes to Watch Out For🚨 Mark your calendars 📅 The draft Employment Rights Bill is set to be released this Thursday 📃 #takeadeepbreath The Labour government promised to deliver these changes within their first 100 days, and here’s a glimpse of what’s in store: 1️⃣ Protection from Unfair Dismissal from Day 1 – No more waiting periods to be protected from unfair dismissal #dayonerightprotection 2️⃣ End to Zero-Hour Contracts – Employers will need to offer contracts based on hours worked over a 12-week period. Plus, reasonable notice for shift changes and compensation for cancelled shifts will be required. 3️⃣ No More “Fire and Rehire” – This controversial practice is set to be banned. 4️⃣ Statutory Sick Pay from Day 1 – Employees will qualify for sick pay from day one, and the removal of the lower earnings limit. 5️⃣ The Right to Disconnect – A push for better work-life balance, allowing employees to disconnect from work outside of working hours. Keep an eye out for the draft bill 📜 The devil will most definitely be in the detail 👀 It's going to be a busy time for HR teams, managers, and business owners 🚀
