For my fellow freelance video editors, I have 2 questions for you: 1. Do you find that your creativity is more prominent in the morning or evening time? 2. What tips do you have when suffering from a creative block? For me, it varies hugely. I think waking up early and giving myself a routine helps hugely, as if I was working a 9-5 in an office. I make myself a nutritious breakfast, have a shower and get dressed as if I am going into work. I set up my computer and get straight onto the edits, however after a few hours I do sometimes find myself getting distracted (which is completely normal BTW)! In terms of creative block, which can easily happen when you are sitting there editing a lot, I tend to switch between projects. If I have ran out of ideas for a music video edit for example, I will handle this by going onto a different project, a wedding edit for example.
