Did you know that nearly 57% of government contracts receive either one or no bids? This statistic sheds light on the challenges businesses face in the bidding process. Opportunities may seem abundant, but the reality is that many contracts go unclaimed due to various factors. It's crucial to understand why this happens and how you can position yourself for success. In my experience, being prepared and proactive is key. When I landed my first contract with the help of the Department of Interior, it started with reaching out to a small business contact and showcasing my capabilities. This proactive approach allowed me to secure a project that had previously received no bids. The lesson here is that opportunities are often hidden in plain sight, and it takes proactive outreach and preparation to uncover them.
